For some reason, people are deciding to sell this apparently worth “1 bud” item for less. Quite a few actually. So, I believed a price adjustment was in order.

Alright, let’s start this off.

Selling/Sold For 25/~25 Keys

- The seller sold this item for 25 straight keys and he was able to get a buyer. The last time I looked at this link was last night and was up for at least a day. Sometime from last night (before I slept) until now, it was sold.

- This seller has a B/O at 25 keys/1 bud. That is still 25 keys as the lower offer and people would be pretty dumb for paying the bud instead. The seller sold this for the 25 keys as we see the keys in his backpack, the missing crate 30, and the item is under a new owner if you look at its history.

- Alright, this one took a bit of actual looking around. This trade has been up for a week and the 25 key offerer (kHEAVY) hid his offer. BUT! If you look further down at the conversation between KarlMarx and the seller, the seller says, “only looking for large amount of craft/misc if you can sell that for 25 keys pure I can do that.” From this, we see that the seller is accepting 25 keys for the Salvaged Crate #30. So, this is the third person who is willing to accept 25 keys for the crate.

- In this trade, there ARE people who paid a bud for this crate. But wait… That was 2 weeks ago… Well then… That is a bit old.

- No fear though, if you look at the last offer though, he accepts the 86 refined offered by Nandoez Chicken. 86 refined translates to 25 keys (if buys keys for 3.44 refined each)– 25.83 keys (if buys keys for 3.33 refined each). It is slightly hard to find people on trade servers selling keys for 3.33 refined each. There are times when you can buy them for 3.33 refined easily, but there are times when you can go for an hour and no one will sell you one. I am starting to think that 3.44 refined seems like the price for keys… Ugh…

Unsold For 26 Keys And Up (Slightly Out Of Order)

- The seller is asking for a bud straight for the crate. It has been three days and not even an offer for this item. The item is still in the seller’s possession through the history and from checking through their backpack. Unsold at 1 bud.

- The seller closed this trade, but it was up for a while last night and no one wanted it. 26.3 keys is actually under the bud price on TF2 Finance, so why wasn’t it taken? People must want to maximize profits. What a surprise. xD

- This is the same seller from Link 6. He changed his mind and made the price 27 keys. 13 hours later and not even a comment or offer. No interest I guess and I guess you can slightly use the excuse “it’s too new.” Still, it’s supposed to be worth a bud and no one wants it? Come on. :P

- The seller is trying to sell for 26 keys and there isn’t much success. Then again, this seller is a F2P from his backpack space. Still. No one is telling him, “dude, you’re F2P, buy something from the store and we can trade.”

- This link is by the same guy from Link 8. He relisted and even on that one, no one is commenting to get him to leave the F2P world.

- This seller is actually looking for offers and not one person is even offering 25 keys for it. Huh… Weird… He still owns them all.

- An offerer actually offered 25 keys for one of the seller’s crates. Personally, I think he should have taken it. Selling it for a bud/26 -27 keys is looking pretty grim.

- The seller is trying to sell it for 27 keys and it isn’t getting any nibbles. The trade is 2 days old and nothing except offers that don’t exactly amount to 1 bud/27 keys.

- The seller still has all his crates. He wants a bud each and nothing once again. The trade is 4 days old.

Afterthoughts:

I think it is kind of safe to say that this item isn’t exactly worth a bud… It might be when Salvaged Crate #50 comes along, but who knows. Personally, I don’t believe it will. I understand the Crate going up when #40 came out since it meant that #30 wasn’t going to be dropped anymore. What does #50 coming out have to do with #30? #30 already stopped dropping; it isn’t like it will stop dropping twice. I can only foresee #40 going up and just #40.

#30 might be rarer? How? The only way for Crate #30 getting rarer is for them to be opened more and more until less and less exist. That is probably the only way the crate will go up, but even then… eh…

But yes, I believe that 25 keys is probably a steady price that crate #30 should be through what I have seen from trades. I would have put up buyers buying these, but those are harder to find, because peoples’ “wanted” items ALWAYS contain some sort of Salvaged. That is too much work for me and I think I have enough proof to help suggest this new price.
