The hype has clearly raised the minimum for this hat to a bud, but otherwise the range is perfectly fine. I used the average value of buds in keys for the low end to be on the safe side.

I feel sorry for all the people buying retiring hats. Do you think they realize that they're going to crash so hard? There's no sustainable demand.

Collectors are always willing to pay more to ensure that their collection is complete. They're already committed to losing resources, so for them having an item RIGHT NOW is much more important than its cost. They're why items first-day are always so expensive--they know they'll crash, but completion trumps that.

I have a buddy who collects solly and his collection is complete save for a V Conch. Do not get me started on some of the offers he's made on them :P

Basically you're only increasing the lower end by a few keys and changing the currency. With buds at around 27 keys each, your suggestion is 27-35 keys, almost identical to what it already is.
