What is this thing called proof?

and i need proof because? it didnt say i need to provide proof...i just think it should be worth more as it is a nice effect/hat combo...yes nuts and bolts is bad, but bucket helm is a very nice hat and i think nuts and bolts fits it well.

There's practically an unwritten rule here that states you need proof to have a suggestion pass. Very rarely do suggestions pass without any proof.

well, when making this suggestion, i had no notifications of needing proof...nor do i think i should. i am simply stating my affection for this hat...and i am also stating that it is very low for how good it looks. 15-19 keys is way too low, even if it is nuts and bolts, it still looks epic.

That's nice and all, but saying "it looks good" is a matter of opinion, whereas prices are based on facts.

Personally, I think Max's Head is a so-so looking hat, but it's still 2 buds because people are willing to buy and sell at that price.

maybe if people were to give this hat a chance. people just look at it, see the effect and say its worth shit. people need to give some of these lower tier unusuals a chance and base them on how they look, not what effect or what hat they are on. i remember the old days when most people said no unusual is worth under 1 bud, and thats what people followed for some time.

The price is low for an unusual because to a majority of buyers, it looks bad. I know that partially contradicts what I just said, but there are not a lot of people willing to buy this hat because of its effect. Most people find NnB to be a bad looking effect on most hats.

it might be a bad effect on most hats, i do agree with that statement completely, but for this hat, i think it is mighty fine looking. you may not agree with me there, but i just dont want people all looking at the price for this hat and saying it is rubbish without giving it a chance. it should be a bit more of a higher price, so people at least look at it and see if it is good looking, then we can get peoples true opinions on this hat.

you can talk about how good it looks all you want, but if you really want a price increase, you're going to need proof of it selling for this price. as stated many, many times before: this site doesnt set prices, it just reports them.

This is a site for actual pricing of items. Personal opinions are crushed and laughed at here.

crushed and laughed at, seems too excessive. you can simply just disagree with my price suggestion if you really dont like the hat much. it is my opinion, and i am sticking to it no matter what.

You can have your personal opinion, but post it on a forum or discussion page, you'll get banned for posting your "opinion" in a place for voting on prices with evidence backing up the suggestion.

and we have evidance now. someone said he/she sold one for 20 keys. and anyway, i doubt there would be a ban on me for a simple opinion. is it not opinions that drive people to suggest a new price on this site? is that not what we suggest prices on items for?, because of opinions?

Actually, like Merrycatch22 said, you cannot tell the world what you think of this hat here. If you wish to express your affection, go to a random tf2 server and do so. This site is to inform people of values based on TRADES THAT ACTUALLY OCCUR, NO OPINION INCLUDED. No offense, but your opinion here is unnecessary and worthless.

The price isn't higher because it's a god awful looking hat with the worst effect in TF2. It's unwanted everywhere. Even 15 keys is a push to sell this hat at.

if you were to stop basing it on being the worst effect in the game and base it on, the hat its with (bucket helm is a good medic hat), what it looks like in game, and how well both hat and effect come together. i recently obtained this, and i think it looks really good. you might not, but at least give it a chance, dont say its shit because effect is worst in tf2. and to be honest, flies and nuts and bolts are worth really the same, depends the hat they are on. and nuts and bolts looks far greater than flies really.

The thing about flies is it actually has a collector base. And as effects go, it's the largest in terms on pixel coverage. N&B is just bad on most hats, I do like it on some hats, but not many.

Anyway, none of this matters, it's not a sick puppy waiting to be given a home, it's a hat, and a hat that no one would be willing to pay over 17 keys for, that's why the price is so low.

i explained to the above person why i have no initial proof, but if you want some, look at shman's comment. he/she sold one for 20 keys, so that kind of gives off a bit of proof.

your comment above doesn't show any sort of reason why you have no proof, it's only showing that you have 1 in your bp and that person who commented is just stating he sold it for 20 but he didn't show any proof of that

This site reflects the market's current buying/selling price, not someone's personal opinion. You will need real proof that people buy and sell at 19-21 keys, not just a statement from a random stranger.

fact: i never said this is what the price will be or anything. i simply put this of to show my personal opinion, and to try and get people to see this hat is not as bad as they think it is. if this doesnt work, then ok, i will keep to me own opinion. i just want to try and get people to understand that they should look at an item before pricing it, not just saying a price because effect and or hat.

I think this would be better taken to the forums, rather than suggesting the price, because people will just bring hate on you if you suggest a price here with opinions.

Sad thing is, price isn't determined by the appearance of the item. In that case the Last Breath would be a bud and the Bill's Hat a key. I know you want to express your thoughts on this hat, but sadly, it won't really affect the price of the unusual.

It doesn't say anything to provide proof, only a "bonus". However, it does say, "The prices on this site are based on actual sales, not speculation." meaning not your opinion.

Your suggestions only says, nice hat, poor effect. Nothing relates to 19-21 keys.

There are only 4 on Outpost, and none of them have any offers. It is an unwanted hat, nor is there any proof that it should be raised.

Votes represent opinions. If you want to change people's opinions then the best way to do that is with facts--simply stating your own view is not going to get someone else to change theirs (most of the time).

The aesthetic value of a hat is subjective, but objectively speaking, NnB is a very difficult effect to see because the particles are so dark. Its low worth is a direct result of its limited visual impact, because unusuals are all about peacocking.

If I have failed to explain of this sufficiently, please feel free to add me or ask in the forums for more info, but the short version is that proof (in the form of trade links or screenshots) is very important to getting prices accepted.
