I think its ok to have proof from his trade when it comes to unusuals, since there aren't many green energy fros on the market. And also what would you know about unusuals if you dont own one or look like you could?

well obviously i dont own one. I dont care much about the effects, and hate the big price ranges, but actually i've gotten plenty of unusual offers :/ and there are about 8 fros, its not bad to look at the offer the other are getting. and its never okay to have just one proof, especially from your own trades, unless its the only one on the market. If there is 2, you should look at the offers both are getting. why just look at one when there are more? Also you dont need to own the item to know the price of it.

That is true with looking at more than one trade, but if there is a 3 bud offer even if its on his own trade it is still proof that someone is willing to pay the suggested price

yes if looking at just one trade. but thats not the point of this site. It shows the average price the item is selling it, not just one, as many as possible. I can find someone wiling to buy my sf ambassador at 15 keys, but would that be good proof? no. it could just be a out lier. Im not saying the suggestion is wrong, im just saying, when there is more than one on the market, you should look at both, or as many as possible

it seems this hat has a potential buyer, check the comments near the bottom. someone said they'll pay the 3 buds in 11 days one week ago...

low price might be a bit high considering all the other offers though
