Yup, I have one. It's at the top of my bp and I just bought it for 1.33. Of all the hats that I trade, this one not only sells faster than any other hat, but no one ever tries to haggle with my price of 1.66.

A search of Outpost results in only 4 pages of listings, many painted, with most unpainted listed for 1.66. Any listed under 1.66 is normally an auto-bumped trade with the seller not being online.

I loved how rustled that last suggester got. Apparently asking for a range really pissed him off for some reason.

He had somewhat of a point. If people are consistently willing to pay 1.66 for a hat and (hypothetically) sellers keep selling it for 1.33 because they blindly trust a pricing guide, is 1.66 the true "value" of the hat? It could be argued.
Regardless, his ability to consistently buy for 1.33 proved it should still be included here (which was the part he refused to accept). No problem, he did all the work for us haha
No, this does not fix the problem. This suggestion is only perpetuating a recurring theme on this website with giving ranges to every item.
I do not contest that there are some items that require a range as evidenced in their suggestions, however--
My evidence shows that on any given day, for the past two weeks this hat can be and has been sold with little to no effort for 1.66. I also acknowledge the fact that yes, I purchased every single one of those hats for 1.33 or less. But you are mistaken if you think that taking into account ONE trader, who lucratively seeks underpriced items for resale, should be taken into consideration on an item's value.
By example: there are currently 44 hats/miscs listed on the site as being 1.33-1.66 in value. By contrast there are only 20 of which with a listed price of a stand-alone 1.66. I can argue that every day at least ONE of every single one of those hats is sold for 1.33 or less. I know this, because I have bought almost every single one of them at that price. By this logic, they should ALL maintain a range comparable to the majority. But this range is a skew of 20-25% of the value of these items, and is not an accurate reflection of the market value for these items.
The only purpose that this range serves is to falsely lull traders into thinking they must list their items at the lowest price, otherwise it will never sell.
I reiterate, that my data provides concrete evidence that the market value of this hat is 1.66.
As an aside, the noir referred in my original suggestion was also sold about an hour ago.......for 1.66.
No one doubted you that you sold for 1.66. the thing that you refuse to understand is that you also provided proof that you were consistently able to buy at 1.33.

It could just as easily be argued that your suggested price of 1.66 served to falsely lull buyers into thinking they had to offer 1.66 or else they can't get one (when you yourself were able to buy for 1.33)
No one here is trying to "trick" sellers into selling their hats lower than they should. We document what they are currently bought and sold at, which is 1.33-1.66. Sellers should not look at our spreadsheet and automatically assume that they have to sell at 1.33. They should look at the proof in the suggestion or search outpost on their own.
TL;DR: we don't define the "value" of hats. we document what they are commonly traded for. You provided us with great proof for this range. Thanks for that.
To the contrary, I, nor anyone else for that matter, has provided a shred of evidence that this hat is traded for 1.33. I merely said that is what I personally was able to find them for without providing a single link.
Now, what I do not understand(not refuse), is that this is a pricing SUGGESTION site, whereas users look at SUGGESTIONS as to what they should try to get for their items. Now, if someone asks,'Hey, Jymotion. What do you SUGGEST I sell this detective noir for?" Are you going to SUGGEST 1.33-1.66? Or are you going to say 1.66 based on everything listed above?
Most likely the latter because I have proven that if it were to be listed for less, someone(like me) is simply going to buy it and flip it for what you should have suggested.
TL;DR: No proof that this hat is commonly traded for 1.33 has been provided by anyone. Just the word of someone who is trying to provide an accurate suggestion to sellers as to what they should list this item.

1.55 or 1.66. If you are trying to buy a detective noir, I'd suggest offering 1.33 or 1.44.

You've made it clear that you are looking out for sellers. I am trying to represent the buyers, since there are two sides to every sale.
As for proof, you've done a great job providing us with item histories to the hats you sold, so they can easily be traced back to the trade where you bought it for 1.33. i kinda understand what you're getting at with this. i too have manipulated this 1.33 loophole myself several times. the thing is that not a lot of traders out there understand that a craft hat is MINIMUM 1.33. so they think that is backpack says 1.33 and they want to quick sell they should do so for 1.22. this is a really easy way to profit as we can easily resell to scrap.tf or tf2wh and gain a profit.
First you say all of the links are ones I completed at 1.66 and later you say you bought them for 1.33.
And NOW you're saying "No proof that this hat is commonly traded for 1.33 has been provided by anyone."
NOOOOOO. For every 1.66 sale YOU MADE that was so COMMON, there was an EQUAL number of trades done at 1.33 by YOU.
And you also say we shouldn't account for your 1.33 buys because you are purposefully trading for a profit, buying low, selling high. So why should be not think that you are not just a high baller that over prices his items, and not someone who just low balls like you are making it seem like you do.
Your logic is so flawed if you think this site is a Bible, it is merely a suggestion, and since you provided proof they were easy to buy and sell for 1.33-1.66, that is what the price should be documented as. I have yet to find someone who fully agrees with your argument.
