This bring me to beleive that the appropriate price range for the Strange Festive Huntsman should be 15 - 16 keys, and even balance between the price people are buying and selling for.
Good proof. Definately need to lower this one
Looks good to me :D
Yup, this bow is over hyped and over priced. The regular strange huntsman should be far more valuable than this one, considering the significant cost of salvaged crates. I think the scam has gone on long enough, time to lower the price to a more reasonable level.
Well I upvote this suggestion but there are many more regular strange huntmans than the SF version
There are over 8 times more Earbuds in the market than Strange Huntsman. What point are you trying to make?
buds are used as currency, you can't put them on same page..
there are 1.5x more strange huntsman in game and the price was over 20 keys for long time, i don't see why SF huntsman can't be around buds soon, also huntsman can still be unboxed from salvaged crates..
Your argument is invalid. If I duplicate a pair of buds are they worth half as much? No. Understand now where this scam is coming from? And who sells lots of earbuds? People who get steam support to reimburse their $7000 backpacks filled with nothing but buds? And what about vintage earbuds, where did they come from? They can still be obtained too, why are they worth so much? Your argument about them being currency is also invalid. The only currency in this game is Keys and Metal. Earbuds are a scam.
Earbuds are an accepted form of currency, they aren't a scam. What people may or may not do with earbuds could potentially be scams but trading them for an accepted market price of keys is not.
Earbuds are useful currency for anyone who doesn't want to hold 30-300 keys in their backpack all at once. They're also a desirable misc simply because they are expensive, believe it or not that actually makes them desirable.
So yeah, feel free to not buy buds with keys and metal, you may be in a minority, I'm not sure. Doesn't change the fact they're accepted as currency and neither does duping.
Are you comparing Apples (buds) with Oranges (stranges) ?
No matter what the price, the strange festive huntsman will always be worth more than the strange huntsman because there are fewer of them and more and more strange huntsman are being unboxed.
Actually if you apply some basic common sense this Festive one should be worth more.
Firstly it functions exactly the same as the regular one but has added visual extras, so it's more desirable.
Secondly it's not possible to uncrate any more, it's retired, a normal strange huntsman is more common in number and also in availability (isn't as impressive to obtain or own).
Thirdly, the crates may not have cost as much but you didn't have a 1/5 chance of uncrating a strange festive huntsman from a naughty crate. Infact, you'd have to burn through 4 or 5 keys to obtain a single Strange festive on average, which if you're lucky was a huntsman. So there's that expense to pass on instead of an expensive salvaged crate.
To say the higher market price this SF got to was a scam is crazy, these things happen with hype which never got a chance to cool down because the naughty crates had a short lifespan. Now finally maybe the hype is cooling and prices are settling for this.
I think the suggestion is right but your sensationalism is wrong.
