Why am I pricing this hat? Quite simply, someone has offered me it in exchange for my Green Energy Backbiter's Billycock because they are listed as being the same value here. However, I'm sure that you readers will agree that they certainly aren't equal in value so I decided to do some research to look at what exactly the Stormy Storm Detective Noir is worth.

However, its last owner did allegedly receive an offer of 2.3 buds ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8077131[/url]) but the backpack of the person who made this offer is, simply, nowhere near that rich ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/backpack/229645[/url]) and the fact that it didn't happen makes me certain that this was a very fake offer, especially since that seller was still trying to get two for it ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8062211[/url]). However, he did at least get an offer of two ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8141054[/url]) for it with a B.M.O.C., so I'll say that it did at least get an offer of 1.5. However, for some reason this never happened. Either it was a fake offer or the person who made the offer withdrew it. Certainly he must have concluded that it wasn't a good trade after all. It actually traded for a Blizzardy Storm Flipped Trilby, which was called 30 keys here two months ago. I do realise that unusual offers usually require over-pay but I figure that the difference is negligible here and I'm going to call this 1.1 buds. Also, I know that the Flipped Trilby was bought for somewhere from one bud to one bud plus five keys ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8067457[/url]). Now before that, that seller swapped the Noir with a Green Energy Capotain ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8019512[/url]), which is called 1.9 here but that's a four-month-old value. Therefore I had to look at the Capotain itself: [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7661388[/url] It was traded for a Bubbling Backwards Ballcap plus one bud (a bit above two), which was fairly silly when it could have been bought with a Strange Festive Grenade Launcher (half a bud) for two, making it cost 1.5. This is getting a bit away from the Noir and the unwise trades have me thinking that these are rather inexperienced unusual traders, so I don't feel justified in saying that the Noir is quite worth that 1.5. I'm therefore going to say 1.4. Also, just before all of that, [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8017521[/url]. He simply said to add him to pay "1.4" so I can't say if he succeeded or not but it looks like he did.

My conclusions from following the above particular hat is that this hat is worth 1.1-1.4 buds. Moving on to another one that is on Outpost: [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8038038[/url] He has been offered 34 keys (at most 1.3). He bought it ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8005136[/url]) for what looks like about 34 keys. They added each other to talk privately so I don't know how much was added. The seller said "a bit more but its(sic) near" so I'm going to assume that it didn't exceed 1.4 buds.

Finally the last one on Outpost: [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8249055[/url]. I am not certain of this, of course, but it looks like it was bought as a quick-sale with one bud. The Noir's last owner was Flame. Also, the current owner's quick-sale buying bud ([url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8046345[/url]) then went to Flame.

The recent histories of the second and third hats that I investigated simply agree with what I found from the first. At the moment there are no others on Outpost so I'm going to finish here.
