ok i cant reply to you all but if you it then yeah... Well all you guys that have posted are expert traders using money and stuff but us normal traders trying to get the hats and items we wont are willing to pay a key for this lovely item. Even if the key is unstable most tf2 item traders will buy with a key.

easy to sell for 1 key

i think metal price is better for this hat, because keys are rise, and will be around 4 ref soon. But you still can craft fez with blueprint for 4 ref+1 weapon, so 3,66 is max possible high end for this hat, isn't it?

good point but its about what people are willing to pay and in this case its definatly a key +

as long as people pay in keys for it it will be like this

and that means its rising with the key price

It's actually the exact opposite. Key price is not rising. Metal price is falling.

when i check community market, i see that keys rise almost till manco prices, when i check russian key traders,i see that their keys rise in prices, i don't really know a lot about ur key/cash market prices, but i see that almost all prices in metall(craft hats, stranges, vintages etc...) stay at the point where they were in october 2012(when keys were at 2,55 refs), it inflated only against promo and tools.

Lucky for you, I know A LOT about key/metal/cash prices.

You just proved yourself wrong even though you thought you were proving yourself right. Many items that are valued in refined have stayed close to the same price in refined. But, those items would have normally lowered in price over time due to their natural decay in value. Their natural value loss combined with the devaluation of metal allows them to stay at the same price in terms of metal while still being devalued at their natural rate.

Your tools, paints, etc normally do not devalue so their price is rising in refined as the value of refined goes down.

it's right in your PayPal economics, but most of tf2 players not using real world money to obtain anything except full TF2 game. And when most in-game items stay at same metal price level, you say that there are metal inflation. But you can really feel this only when trading middle and high tier items. Most of stranges still cost ~1 rec, most craft hats still 1,33 and vintages goes at 2 scraps each.

output: we just talk about different markets, or maybe market shares, for pro traders there is metal inflation, but for regular players, who outside PayPal economics, there are no metal inflation, it's more lookslike tools rising because of community market(and price of tools here raised a lot since SCM was released, so there are no metal inflation too)

Craft hats are still 1.33 for a different reason. Do you know why they are that price? You can craft a hat with 3 refined. Craft hats are 1.33 each because it's cheaper than using metal to craft with. Vintages are at 2 scraps because they are vintage. They will rarely ever be 1 scrap because they are vintage. Same with stranges.

This has nothing to do with Paypal. It has to do with the increasing amounts of metal that are being flooded into the overall market.

"You can craft a hat with 3 refined. Craft hats are 1.33 each because it's cheaper than using metal to craft with".

and my first comment in this suggestion was about almost same reason for fez to be 3,66 in metal, not just 1 key that not stable =).

and i disagree that only reason for inflation is increasing amount of metal, i think it's all about lack of keys in market, because nobody buy new keys from Manco, after steam market released.

There was roughly 400,000 keys when Steam Market was introduced. There is now roughly 435,000.

Remind me, is this a Key suggestion or what did I miss?

Pointless discussing the issue here too. If they sell for 1 Key now, then so be it. When the Key price in terms of metal (yes, metal is falling but that expr. is right imho) rises again and people are not paying a Key anymore, there will be a new suggestion. What Keys will be worth in the future is not relevant here at all.

            4 ref + a wep

sell for a key when keys are over 4

            PROFIT

Or buy a key now and sell for when keys are over 4 ref...

Not really related to the suggestion , but why would people pay more than 4 ref for a fez if you can craft one with 4.05 ref

a lot of people don't know that, and or they dont want to take a risk of crafting something else.

Risk? there is a 100% chance of crafting a fez with 4 ref + l'etranger/YER

Right...was thinking it was like crafting an fdu/aa type craft.

Well, i guess its time to buy up l'etrangers/yers and wait for fez's to reach 5 ref.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8504424 might sell for a key in a bit.

                http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8503195 sold for 1key +.33

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8272925 Face Offered a key, but the seller pissed him off by making him wait to accept, and he retracted it.

all you guys had to do was make sure that people are actually SELLING for 1 key. +Up
