If there are offers much higher than your suggestion, why did you make the price so low? Link 3 was closed after a non-attendant sale, too. I think the low and high ranges should go up a bit. People are obviously willing to pay 2.3 - and one had an offer of 3 buds. Low end should not be 6 keys lower than the smaller C/Os.
you have to remember to factor in an unusual overpay.
After doing that almost all the offers fit into the range of 2.1-2.4 except for 2 offers which appear to be outliers (3 bud offer, and the 2.8 bud offer)
Also, that 2.8 bud offer was just shy of 2 months ago.
Outliers should still be noted. They were near the same value, and on two different trades... I suppose it's not enough to alter the value, but if that offering price becomes more common, then yeah. It'll need another change.
But you're right, I forgot about unusual overpay. Makes everything so derpy.
Its also worth noting that the person who offered 3 buds is a collector.
Yeah, just checked his backpack. Sheesh... Lots of stuff.
yea I don't really understand the high range either when 1 was sold for 3 Buds just 3 weeks ago and there are offers close to 3 as well..
except there really aren't.
1 offer of 3 buds. (made by a collector)
1 offer of 2.8 (2 months ago)
4 offers of 2.5 in unusuals (2.25 pure)
and the rest are between 2-2.3 in unusuals.
how is nova a collector concerning unusual attendants?
hes a collector in general, and he hasn't put it up for sale. (aka adding it to his collection).
to me a collection is: just attendants/just smoking unusuals/just pyro unusuals, having lots of random unusuals doesn't make a collection..I mean if u had said he is just crazy rich and probably didn't care about the overpay, that's fine, but in no definition of collecting is he a collector for unusual attendants..unless having multiple different items makes a collector, but then I'm a Bill's collector as well, since I have 1 and I have other items
The definition of Collection, "something that is collected; a group of objects"
Something that is collected; a group of objects. Pretty sure unusuals fall into that perfectly.
He has an unusual collection, aka a bunch of hats he has for the sole purpose of wearing/keeping. (i.e. i have an uncraftable collection--1/2 hats/miscs for each class, thats a collection, and thats no different than an unusual version of it).
ok then by that definition I'm a Bill's collector and u collect Wranglers..great Wrangler collection u have there I'm jelly
Except i don't have 28 wranglers (which would be a collection, unless i just happened to get 28 in a scrapbank and haven't been able to sell them, but then i would've crafted 20 of them together).
Nova has 28 unusuals and the only recent trade he had opened on OP contained 8. Which means the other 20 are not for sale. Which means hes a collector.
u can write and write and write, u can't deny ur awesome wrangler collection..u have multiple weapons, so by ur definition ur a wrangler collector
What I'm trying to say and quite obvsiouly ur not getting that, is that u can't just rule out every purchase that is for personal use and he is no attendant collector, so u can't rule him out either
You closed the last one to fix the range, just to make it the same range :|
i closed it bc eraser had pointed out it sold for a v. conch, which imo made enough offers higher than 2.4 to warrant making the range higher. It wasn't until after i closed the suggestion that someone pointed out to methat the conch was untradeable and therefore was worth significantly less. (making my suggestion just fine).
Ah, okay.
Carry on. :D
Can't say I'm comfortable with dropping the high range when there's been a 3 bud sale not too long ago, particularly when supported by another offer just shy of 3 buds within a month prior to that sale.
i can see your point, but 2 offers out of 30 in over a 2 month period shows that this hat really can't get that much, and that those 2 offers are most probably outliers considering that 1 (the most recent one) paid 3 to add it to his collection. And the person who offered 2.8 never appeared to buy one, he appeared to buy something else.
I also have to say I'm uncertain about calling the fellow a collector, or saying that it's part of his collection. It looks like he doesn't put very many trades on outpost altogether, so what he has up there tells us very little about how he trades. And there's too little consistency between his unusuals to say what he intends to keep and what he's willing to trade further yet.
Basically, I don't know if there's enough to say 3 should be within range, but I don't think it should be ignored altogether. It should be enough to say that 2.6 should at least be maintained as the high point.
I am, as I often do, nitpicking though.
