Since I have suggested the price for the Cauldron Brain Bucket and I had traded my Scorching Copper for it, and was told I should suggest a new price since this hasn't been changed in 7 MONTHS... I figured it would be about the same as the Cauldron Brain Bucket, but a little lower on the Low Value as this Unusual has much more quantity, and the Brain Bucket is a low quantity and can only be unboxed during halloween. M
My Points are as follows:
1. My entire suggestion for the Brain Bucket shows all the reason why I changed that, but it says in that one that I decided to trade my Storym Samureye for A Scorching Copper (Which I valued the same, I just wanted this Unusual to wear at the time) and then traded that for the brain bucket as I had boughten a Stormy TC and had no use for the Copper anymore. http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5116aefaba2536255d000002#5116aefaba2536255d000001_row
2. This price is 7 months old and the price has changed much then. Offers have NOT changed much besides the main ones in which people DO decide to trade. Most offers are low ball offers based on this price, but I did receive the offer of a Caludron Brain Bucket and I did that trade. That is now priced at 2.5-2.8 buds.
3. The B/Os on OP are
3 Buds - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8420623 (Best Offer is none, but someone wrote that a Burning Copper was set at 3 bud B.O but was Gifted. So that would even out)
No B/O and No Offers yet - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8545225
B/O - 2.8 Buds - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8509692 (This was the one I had previously, which traded for cauldron brain bucket) .
4. As you can see above, there are b/os of 3.. but no one is going to pay that. They don't expect 3, they are expecting around 2.8-2.6 or so. They two first links have basically no offers due to the fact that it is a trade with multiple Unusuals and I have found that with these trades , when there is a lower-tier Unusual with many higher Tiers.. the lower ones never get recognition . But with the last one, he just got that 2 days ago and it did take me time to get a good offer.
In conclusion - This Unusual NEEDS to be changed for the fact that this price is VERY outdated, because of that, people don't feel that they should actually offer close to the buyout prices. I feel it is part of my responsibility to make the necessary changes to Unusuals that I sell to people if the price is too low, so that they are able to get offers that they should be getting. This price deters people away from the Unusual and make them think the B/O is far too high.
I bought mine for a Stormy Stormy Samureye, which I believe is set at 2.7? 2.8? All buyouts for that are either 3 - 3.5 . I traded it away for the Cauldron Bucket, and that is now valued at 2.5 - 2.8 , Though I don't feel this is as wanted as the C. Bucket due to the quantity and how the offers are minimal.. I would not suggest this price to be the same as the Cauldron, but just a tad bit lower on the LOW value at 2.4 instead of 2.5.
What if I suggested the price of the ellis cap, then sharked a kid out of his burning TC? Also, if there are 2.8 b/o's that haven't been met, why would it be the high end?
I don't quite understand what you mean by the first part with the Ellis and the Burning TC.
But I suggest 2.8 to be the high for the fact that I had a Stormy Samureye, I valued that at 3 buds, I would have taken 2.8 (as I got it in a package deal). You can see in my closed trades that this did happen and that I did value it at 3 buds.
I then traded the Stormy Samureye for a Scorching Copper , as you can see in this trade I offered a Flies Robin + NnB Fro (I got 1 bud + 10 keys for fro) , but he didn't accept that and that was either the same or a little less possibly than the Samureye. Meaning he wouldn't have accepted less than 3.
I then traded the Copper for the Cauldron Bubbles because I felt that the Cauldron Bubbles , due to the rarity of it, would be worth a little bit more than the Scorching Copper. Which is why I put the range 2.4 - 2.8, and not 2.5 as I did with the Cauldron. I would NOT have accepted anything less than 2.8 for my Copper and that is a fact as you can see here - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8323910 ( I was offered decent offers) .
So with my trades, I traded Unusuals in the same price range for the Copper.
I also know that the sellers of the current ones would not take lower offers than around 2.5, if that. Maybe the first link would if he was desperate, but they are looking for about 2.8-2.6 , if they would accept even 2.6 or 2.7 .
To be fair that trade is like a day old... but this still isn't very good proof.
Um, If you are going to refresh it, just do 2-2.5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7955294 (b/o 2.5)
You bought it for storm samur-eye which was just downed to 2.4 in unusuals with enough proof.
Yeah I dont think this needs a bump up for the sake of "updating"
