Suggestion: The Conscientious Objector at 0.11 ref

Bro, you drunk? You said half of "2 scrap" sold already, check properly. Some trades that were closed still hasn't sold theirs (click on the objector to see who's the owner). Only one or 2 managed to sell off theirs.

I tend to get these in drops a lot, and I have to agree, it's difficult to sell at 2 scrap. Usually I just sell for a scrap, but they go pretty darn fast. Only tried to sell at 1 scrap + 1 wep once, and although it sold, it took at least a day.

Agreed, it's not that rare, just that it has a special feature (decal) which makes its value a little higher. Like you said, the objector sells fast at 1 scrap which is true. My main concern is the 1 scrap 1 wep price. But I think 1 scrap should be fine as a flat price. From what I see, ppl buy them for 1 scrap 1 wep because outpost is flooded with trades selling them at 2 scrap and they will have to spend a little time searching for sellers at 1 scrap (which I doubt most ppl will do it actually, it's time consuming but I know I would :3).

I buy these WITH DECALS for a scrap without a problem, so easy upvote.

I see some ppl selling objectors with decals for 0.33-0.55 ref. most ppl buy at that price if they can find a suitable decal that they like. It's hard to put a price on those with decals, but If you can get those at 1 scrap and find the ones you like at the same time, damnnnn you dont have to spend on the decal tools :D thanks for the support!

Like ToastedGoat allegedly did. But I am always very reluctant to believe the "sold" counter in a trade. It usually means: "hey, I'm selling my stuff for more than you would need to pay, but I found other idiots that did pay". Or even exaggerate / falsify that counter in the believe that people fall for it.

(edit: people unnecessarily inflating their notes with blank lines and sold counters are not trustworthy in my experience)

Maybe those 1 scrap sellers are offline/do not respond and then people just don't care and also pay 2 scrap if in a hurry. But from what I can see, it takes a long time to sell for 2 scrap suggesting that most sell below that price. If ToastedGoat did indeed manage to sell that many in such a short period of time for whatever reason, I would say the range does not need adjusting. Otherwise it looks like 0.11 is what the item mostly sells for and this suggestion would be right.

there are around 16 of them. i believe i closed my trade when i ran out of stock. but then i restocked. i can take pics of those too, im not exaggerating. could at least vie a guy a minute to take the screenshots

i have never sold one of these for less than .22 either. its not hard to sell at that price.

I don't doubt you did sell some for 2 scrap, just not 24 in 3 days with ease. Looking at your old trades it looks more like you sell 1, maybe 2 a day at the most. The vast majority still seems to sell for 1 scrap, considering the original proof and my own research.

With how many in stock did the trade you linked start out? It shouldn't be a big problem to at least show a screenshot of how many you sold in one day.

it stays right around 5-6 in stock at all times. it hardly ever hits 0. at most i have had about 12 in stock. but usually i keep it right around 5-6. i can take screen shots of my trades where i restock. i mean i sell 1...i go get 1....to keep a constant stock.

edit: i usually sell more than 1-2 a day. just depends on the time i am able to be online. the screenshots i took show around 16 in 4-5 days. so that more than 1-2 a day....

In that link, the trader is currently selling his Team Captain at 2 keys.Now, we all know that there are many highballers in Outpost for the Team Captain, most ppl will price them at 2 keys (with no buyers) even though the current suggested price is 5.33-5.66 ref. But somehow, this guy (in the link) managed to sell off 30 Team Captains at the price of 2 keys each. However, because he's the only one who managed to do so and other ppl are struggling to sell it at that price, the price suggestion remained at 5.33-5.66 ref.

I would like to somehow relate that case to the current one. It is true that you (ToastedGoat) managed to sell yours at 2 scraps without difficulty. But check in Outpost and you can see the amount of traders who failed to sell theirs at 2 scraps (some from 1 day to 1 week+). So in this case, if 2 scraps is the actual correct price, then Outpost wouldn't be flooded with ppl selling them for 2 scraps without much success. This is just my opinion, feel free to debate on it.

Edit: Somehow, what I noticed in Outpost since I started trading till now is that 'sold' counters do make a difference in one's trade. Whenever ppl place notes such as "selling xxx for 1 key each, sold: xx", that can actually convince buyers to buy that item from that guy. Look at the Team Captain link that I posted. His 'sold' counter states that he sold 30 (which might be true). His recent add was 3 days ago. So why do ppl only buy from him at 2 keys and not other traders? Because of the 'sold' counter perhaps?

I agree. His rate seemingly went up with that one guy buying 8 at one time. I would explain that with convenience. He just couldn't find someone selling that many in one go with ease. Other than that he sells 1-2 in 1-2 days, hardly evidence that they sell easy at 2 scrap. And if he says he can easily restock when he sells one ("keep around 5-6 in stock"), also suggests he buys them for 1 scrap or even less (scrap.tf), making his 2 scrap sales a 1.5 or less on average anyway - assuming he sells for profit of course.

What you just said might be true. People trade because they want to earn profit. So if he can easily restock, it is only logical that ToastedGoat bought them at 1 scrap (there's not point in him buying it for 2 scraps anyway). Another interesting thing that I noticed (and I'm going to relate back to the Team Captain link again...sigh) is that ppl who have plenty of stock in their bp tends to sell their items easily. Now for this case, I really have no idea why. The guy who sells team captain at 2 keys had plenty of stock in his bp and he seems to be the only one who's able to sell them at that price.

But this sort of selling technique also works in supermarkets. It is common marketing knowledge that you have to always (over)stock your shelves. The subconscious mind works in mysterious ways. People tend to think you are a very successful trader with your item if you can show you have plenty and thus believe your price must be fair without really checking market conditions.

edit: Also, the spreadsheet still lists the Team Captain at +-2 Keys, I guess that also has lot to do with it

ya you hit it dead on the nail. scrap.tf is nice. and profit is great. i buy for .05 per objector through scrap and sell for 2. i always have stock. but this is taking too much of my life up. do as you wish. i will continue to sell at .22 and take a screenshot every time i sell one. its not hard to sell at 2 scrap. for god sake no even follows this site. sell on outpost = easy mark up in price and people buy. make it a scrap. people will still buy for .22

There is a few collectors i've found still paying 2 scrap each for them. Been selling them a bunch, but 1-2 scrap would be a better suggestion.

Maybe you should care to link them here. Sure they are not looking for uncrafts? Hard to believe especially collectors don't know how to get them for 1 scrap, as we clearly know they do sell for that price.

What kind of reason is that? You can like it and value it all you like, doesn't change at what price it mostly sells for.
