Very hard to find below 2.5 Keys. The price seems to have settled well at around 2.5 Keys +-0.1. Proof in comments. converted market price: 2.52
(edit: seems you can post a lot more in the initial comment now)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8583948 most recent trade, in stock, 2+0.33r for 5k = 2.45 Keys
2 Keys 2 Ref (2.55 Keys): (I think this is in effect equivalent to selling 2 for 5 Keys = 2.5, because no one really likes metal)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7760388 out of stock

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7950069 unsold for 3 weeks
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8129314 lots in stock, no interest
... (I think this needs no further proof that they don't really sell for 3 Keys although a lot are asking for it)
Offers:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8461866 8.66 (2.4 Keys), 2 Keys + 1 Ref (2.28 Keys) not taken
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8525125 2 Keys 2 Ref (2.55 Keys) sold 3 fast
Conclusion: The best selling / most selling price seems to be at 2.5 Keys with only +-0.1 Keys variance.
That's why there is no need for a range in my opinion.
Disclaimer: I do not have any to sell. Sold about 12 a week ago or so @2.5 within a day or two (don't remember exactly).
The proof was gathered by examining all 20 pages on OP at the time of the suggestion. The trades for each price are ordered by oldest to newest trade (not bump time).
please, dont use and
when posting a link just post it for example this: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8576638 he is selling for 2 SP robots destroyed worth 2 keys.
In case you didn't notice, that was a bug after the server restart
its actually 2 keys AND ONE SP robots :P worth 3 keys
" 2 Keys and Strange Part: Robots Destroyed "
" 3 Strange Part: Robots Destroyed"
Very nice proof. Upvote.
"variance" is not the statistically correct term here. But anyway, I guess you know what I mean. It even looks like that it's only +-0.5 Keys around 2.5 that most sell for.
0.05 of course
I've sold quite a few at 3 keys pretty easy. But I know that isn't the norm.
When was that? I don't see any trades in your history to sell for Keys / Metal, only one trade to sell for PayPal (2.88k @1.30/key) in the last 4 weeks. But I do see you had two trades buying for 7-7.33 ref.
Even so, there are exceptions to everything.
Every trade I make isn't on outpost.
Where do you sell them? A statement like that without any proof to back it up is not worth much here, as I am sure you know yourself.
But that still does not explain why you sell them for PayPal money when you could make 8% more by just selling the 3 Keys for PayPal money. Sorry, but that does not add up for me.
Because I don't lie. Coming from me, that is proof enough. I could look up backpack inventory history, but it's not worth my time.
I never said I sell them constantly at 3 keys. If I have somebody wanting to buy them with in game currency, 3 keys is what I charge.
Never said you were lying, if you read what I wrote carefully.
"Coming from me, that is proof enough." lol, really? A playa like you should know better!
"but it's not worth my time" then you should've just kept that to yourself in the first place!
"quite a few at 3 keys pretty easy" is a big statement that would contradict my proof. So either you can back it up, or I have to assume you were exaggerating at the very least.
" lol, really? A playa like you should know better!"
Sorry, there are people here whose word I trust more than any "proof" on outpost. Most proof on outpost you have to believe they sold for what they are asking.
" then you should've just kept that to yourself in the first place!"
I love users with attitude. I am not going to "keep it to myself" if it is relevant to the suggestion at hand.
"that would contradict my proof."
No, it actually helps your proof. But I'm not too surprised that you don't see how that is.
my last comment in this matter:
If (especially) someone (like you) says "I sell easy @3 Keys", how does that not contradict me saying "does not really sell for 3 Keys"? The small sentence after that does not nullify your statement before that one, nor does it "help me". If you see that differently, I don't get your logic and do indeed not "see how that is"!
Your suggestion is trying to raise the price. Me saying that I have sold them even higher than what you are trying to raise it for reinforces the statement that the current price is too low.
I knew this was coming. It would also suggest that my price range should be 2.5-3 and not just 2.5. The consequence would be my suggestion should be closed and re-opened with a different range. I am surprised you argument like you did. It makes no sense to just raise the price by 0.25 if it was true you sell easy @3 Keys. You logic and reasoning is fundamentally flawed!
Was about to edit the last comment before the site went down for over an hour:
When was that? I don't see any trades in your history to sell for Keys / Metal, only one trade to sell for PayPal ($3.75@$1.35/key=2.77k - your key price) within the last 4 weeks.
But I do see you had two trades trying to buy for 7-7.33r (~2 Keys).
If you could sell them "pretty easy" for 3 Keys, wouldn't it be smarter to sell 3 Keys @$1.35 = $4.05 instead of 1 Expander @$3.75?
Even if so, there is an exception to everything, I guess.
Really easy to sell 2 for 5 keys (making each 2.5) people jump on that from when i sold a few a little back
a funny thing is that people are trying to sell these things for more than 5$ on the steam market... http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Backpack%20Expander
Whats so funny about that? They are not only trying to, they do sell at a median of $5.79 (2.52 Keys), as price tracked here shows.
Just because you would buy for less in Mann Co. when you pay in Dollars, does not mean the Worldwide Market has to be lower than $5.

An offer of 2 keys + 2 ref
2 keys + 1.33, sold very little time ago.

if you still got doubts ask naknak some screenshots i think he have about 30 pages selling ex panders for 2.5 keys!
notice the gift wrap!! ppl is crazy dude!
http://i.imgur.com/XeCdvVi.jpg proof upvote!
Thank you for the additional proof. I think we don't need more screenshots to prove a lot are selling for 2.5 Keys. I don't think anyone is seriously doubting that by now. The hardest part was to prove that outside of 2.5 Keys, give or take a little, not a lot is happening.
I find my proof to be very convincing in that aspect, if I may say so myself ;-)
(even though tl_34_96 claims to have a different experience but is yet not able to provide proof because it's "not worth his time", although he does seem to have plenty of it to argue)
