A lot of unsold Sappers at 9 keys and some willing to sell for less. I would say it is reasonable to have a range of 8.5-9 keys. There are people that are successful buying for less, but those are quickbuyers.

I feel like you're joking, but I'm just not 100% sure.
I am not joking. I getting super mad at people who try to lower a salvaged item with very little proof, especially when there alternate motive is usually to buy one themselves.
I don't believe we've met before. My name is Baloo, I am one of the top contributors to backpack.tf and I do not carry ulterior motives when I price items. I believe I am a very friendly and cheery guy for the most part. Its good to be on my good side, its bad to be on my bad side. Right now you are on my bad side.
I have shown a person selling for 8 keys and a person selling for 8.5 keys and neither is only 3 hours old. I also have a sale at 8 keys along with multiple people unsold at 9 keys.

That's a sellout..you never ever ever ever count those. That's the same reason you don't Bills for 7 keys. I don't need to coubnter you...I will buyy all those sappers, ifI have to. You will not lower these without proper proof!
Buy them all, be my guest. You have no counter proof and insult my integrity. Frankly, my good sir, until you get proof or buy those sappers I feel no reason to continue this conversation.

That was 2 days ago. Current situation is that we've got 20+ people currently (and that's only in the links) trying to sell sappers for 9 keys. Some are shown willing to go lower. Even to 8 keys which I didn't even include in the suggested price.
Quicksells don't count..there's no talking to you. Your logic is so...I'm going to just shutup now before I regret it.
Can't find some counterproof? That's a shame. Please feel free to rage more. 158 suggestions accepted with over 98% accuracy is not some chance occurrence. I know what I am doing.

Why don't you get some real proof of people selling for less then 9 keys who aren't going to quicksellers. You tell me to counter proof when you got no real proof yourself!
I have a person selling for 8.5 keys and another underneath MerryCatch22 selling for 8 keys. I like how you're trying so hard to protect a 2 key drop in your backpack value. I bet the reason you can't find counterproof is because there is none. Saying I have no "real" proof is lazy.

As always, good proof. I myself have seen these dropping in the past few week and sold mine off around a week ago.
Also, I find it funny that KingOfHeart has 8 strange sappers. I think his opinion on this item is extremely biased and should be ignored unless he provides evident proof for his case of this being a bad range.

Just today i tried selling my sapper for 9 keys, and no one was buying. I had to sell it for 8 keys and 2 ref. It was sad letting it go because i bought it for 14 keys, but since the price keeps dropping it had to go. So i agree with your suggestion. UPVOTE

They won't chill out..they're practically attacking it now.
There's many hoarders out there who refuse to sell, so they get back at them by attacking those few that do sell and force them to lower and lower.
Give it 30 days, these will be at 4 keys.

I don't have a problem with this suggested price range, but why lower the price so soon? The last suggestion was 2 days ago, and so was the one before that. Might as well just make it 8 keys flat or something. Cause at this rate, someone else will just suggest it lower again shortly after this one. I don't understand the need to lower a price so quickly, again.
Current prices, everyone lists at that price, people want to pay a notch lower.
Suggest new price, new prices come in, everyone lists for that price, people want to pay a notch lower. Rinse, and repeat.
By this logic it's the people who always want to pay lower than market dictate the price of everything, and this'll never end. Not till everything is overly expensive [i.e. keys], or completely worthless.
Why don't people give time for new prices to settle in before suggesting a new one just days after?
Honestly though, all this aside, Valve really needs to release the next damn Salvaged Crate already. There's too many of #40 stranges floating around. Sappers just aren't as valuable as they used to be. Upvoted.
Suggest 8 keys today. 2 days later it a 7.5 - 8 keys will be suggested.
According to this site, if you can't sell within a day, expect a new price suggestion. :(

Thank you for your input. Originally I had not noticed the last suggestion was 2 days ago. However I did not set the price based on people selling for less otherwise I would have suggested 8-8.5 keys which would have been wrong. The current price is still included in the range, but the only difference is that I am saying it can be bought at 8.5 keys relatively easily. Usually a range means that the low end can sell within about a day and the high end would take slightly longer. This does not mean it includes quick sell prices, but that it includes trades selling for lower than current price on more than one occasion.
tbh these trades are only a few hours - a few days old
but there is a large amount of them on the market so i am gonna stay neutral
you have a couple of 8 and 8.5 proof. I sold for 12 keys... needs more proof for 8.5 keys not just 1-2
