You got singled out because don't get suggestions that often where people argue back as much as you over how their suggestion is fine and don't see what is wrong with it.

I single out Peasant and a bunch of other users on here for making great suggestions. You obviously did your part to help making sure those prices were updated and accurate while being supported by proof.

You also did it twice. Prices don't get updated often because there aren't enough people like Peasant, Woifi, Long, Awesome, Baloo, Kitten, Shenanigans, Jazz, Ste113, Jester, Eraser, Laggy, Merry, Sir J-J, Gold, Darwin etc. that are willing to dedicate as much time as they do to making sure prices on here are accurate and updated.

Go ahead, spend as much time as them making suggestions filled with solid evidence multiple times a day, and THEN come and complain about how prices are out of date.

Don't talk down upon those of this site that dedicate a ton of their time making sure prices are up to date when you have no idea how much time they spend making this site a better place.

Sure me and Jy may have poked fun at you for your suggestion, and Jy is right, we shouldn't have, but you did kind of ask for it. But having people talk badly about how awful this site is and then try and manipulate prices on it? That is just not cool and I would like to stand up for this site against people like you.

I apologize for my previous comment. Though, you brought some of the hostility upon yourself by bashing the site, then trying to make a suggestion without understanding what they are supposed to be.

While the site's community could be friendlier to newcomers unaware of how the site operates, I believe the reaction wouldn't have been quite so bad if you hadn't essentially directed the site to the exact place where you were complaining about it. It was bound to garner some hostility.

For future reference, backpack.tf aims to be a proof-based pricing site, in order to avoid price manipulation by those who'd use it solely for their own ends. If you'd like to know more on how to make a successful unusual suggestion here in the future, I'd recommend giving this a read.
