Disclosure: I own one. However, I have solid proof that this hat has risen in demand (and price) since the retirement of the first-generation hats, and previous suggestion happened seven months ago, long before the retirement announcement. Note that there are only seven of these in existence, which is why I don't have 10+ links as normal.

IkebotXP has had the hat on the market for two weeks, which would put it shortly after the retirement announcement. He gets three offers within that time frame: a Cauldron Bubbles Marauder (valued on this site at 2.6-3.3), a lowball of a Ghosts Gonzila (duped), and an offer which is (as of this post) 11 hours old of a Holiday Headcase.

This trade is an older one, but the important thing to note here is a $100 offer made by Glamonster three weeks ago - well within the timeframe of when the retirement announcement was made.

Unlike the previous (rejected) suggestion, I think this proves that going to 3+ buds is not a stretch or an outlier, especially when multiple people are offering on it.

Seems fine to me.

I paid 3 buds, 8 keys for it last night - above the listed pricerange here. I did not want to use my own personal trading as an example, but the trade for that hat can be found here:

I actually don't plan on trading the hat for any reason. The reason I posted this is that the previous price is seven months old and as far as I can tell was done without any actual evidence and won by a mere three votes. What I've posted in this suggestion is pretty much all the evidence there is of this hat selling in the past few months - most of the trades for it happened before the retirement announcement and the people who have them kept them, so it can be rather hard to find loads and loads of trade proof from within the window of when retirement was announced/when retirement actually happened and now.

sorry to say this but this is not very solid..the headcase is a bitch to sell atm, the Cauldron Marauder falls within the current range and the 100$ is also below 3 Buds

He just bought this hat from me for 3 buds 8 keys. I don't know why people have a problem bumping this up to 3 buds, it's obvious that it can get it in pure.
