$0.36-0.40 (range depending on the amount you buy)
http://forums.sourceop.com/threads/135418-Refined-0-36-0-40?highlight=ref+refined
FYI, for those of you that understand why this matters, this results in an average price of $0.36 ea. At the current exchange rates, this will produce key prices of $1.30 and buds @ $35.75 which is much closer to real life but the buds are still about 8% too high. The only way to correct this issue will be to allow usd voting on keys and buds since the 3 currencies do not directly convert, like how a five dollar bill gives you five $1 bills. The only way to accurately show correct unusual prices, backpack values, and regular item prices is to set the usd value for each of the TF2 main currencies, keys, refined and buds. A suggestion has been posted for this, if you are interested, it can be found http://steamcommunity.com/groups/meetthestats/discussions/2/864958451730896468/
"Refined prices are falling now that key prices have fallen. " when did a key fall in price?
USD key prices
I'm really being sleepy at the price of USD...Sorry for useless comments. D:
I don't know alot about money trading but there's only 1 seller of $0.33. And as everyone says 'One trade does not simply represent the entire market'
No it doesn't, but it certainly can be used to establish a range right? Plus he's a constant seller as evidenced by his 100+ stock.
Well as I said, I don't know anything about money trading. Therefore I'm going to go neutral and let the other people decide :D
Doesn't matter if he is a constant seller. Since there are so many sellers of refined metal, you need to find more than one at $0.33 to justify including that in the range.
the 33 cent one doesn't have a link. With out that your range seems pretty off.
Check "super error-ka"s trade. hes selling for $.33
How about you provide a link.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8371008 sorry messed up the first one
outpost.Seriously?
He also doesnt accept Paypal.Double SERIOUSLY?
This is just bad research. And bad proof.
Yeah, I agree with the other guy, this isn't proof. Not accepting Paypal is a huge.
0.35-0.38 might be more accurate -- 0.33 seems out of place there. I'd leave out the 0.39 since there are 200+ stock at 0.38
i agree with u on everything execept what u said about key prices falling. theyre rising not falling
Price in USD
I cant upvote this, it will literraly screw the economy up the but. Keys sell for 1.35 at their lowest, and this would put eys at 4 ref a peice. I know u have good proof and all but it just cant be this
lulz what? $1.35? you need to look harder.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8542984 $1.30
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7922223 $1.30
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8608719 $1.30
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8594140 $1.30
That's only in 30 seconds of looking....
5 cents my ass :/ not much of a difference, current range still supports this, no reason for a 6 cent drop to screw the economy
Um, this won't "screw the economy" at all. What it will do will correct the over-inflated backpack prices though. It's not a 6 cent drop either. The site uses the average price. Current average price is 0.39 this will drop it to 0.36.
This also has zero bearing on the price of keys in terms of refined. Current range of 3.55-3.66 will not change only the usd price.
>5 cents my ass :/ not much of a difference
kind of goes against your original point about this suggestion
I think the range is far too large.
Staying neutral.
0.35-0.38 atm
sheeeeiiiiiiiiiit
Where is the $0.33 link? Downvoted
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8371008 right here. Sorry i copied thewrong one before.
Do you realize what will happen to unusual prices if this gets accepted?
The same thing that happened to all of them on Jan. 12.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/meetthestats#announcements/detail/956154711329700032
Yes i do. The usd price in the database will be converted using a more realistic bud price instead of $38.66.
Jester I think you asked for a downvote man :/
not enough evidence of .33$, there is only one seller at that.. you clearly dont have much metal, is it why you are lowering its price? Remember there is a limited amount of weapons each week dropped to aquire metal. your proof does not justify this vote.. I downvote.
Lol. Omg. You really think I'm trying to lower the price b/c i don't have much refined? That is hysterical. What about all my buds and keys? Those will be affected much more than refined. Lol
33 seems like a stretch, maybe 35-39?
The one .33 seller is having trouble (and probably using the low price) because he only takes webmoney instead of paypal. I'd call it an outlier trade, and there's not enough standard paypal sellers at .33 otherwise for it to be in the range. If you still want the .36 average, .34-.38 would be a better range.
In pricing ref, I wouldn't use any links that are outside the range of what's being sold on Sourceop. Refined metal is worth as much as people pay to get it from highly reputable sellers, and if you don't have a ton of rep, you will need to discount your refined to have people choose to purchase from you.
I think 0.36-0.39 is right, this is just crazy.
Proof is mostly from outpost.Which is useless for cash transactions.
Bad proof, bad range.Current range is fine.
"0.35-0.38 might be more accurate -- 0.33 seems out of place there. I'd leave out the 0.39 since there are 200+ stock at 0.38
-Brad Pitt"
Yup, Brad you called it. Best to ax the 0.33 and the 0.39 and just have 0.35-0.38 for the price of metal.
