Only one link on outpost, these are the offers of the past 4 ish months, showing that the demand is almost 0 for this hat, and the offers are few and far between. I am sorry for the large range, but the unusual overpay made 3.5 to 4.5 seem fair.

Personally think it's too hefty a drop. With offers of 4.3, 4.5, and 5, I don't see why 3.5 needs to be in range, arguably even 4. I'd be more comfortable with a more conservative drop. Around 4.5-5, perhaps. Maybe 4.3-5 if you want to keep the current lower range.

At least that's my personal opinion. Pricing around offers has led to unusuals being badly underpriced in the past. When it becomes necessary, it should only be done around the absoute top offers.

You do have a point, but on the other hand, with 3 months of bumps, and the best offer being 5 in unusuals (and then factor in an overpay so the offer is only really about 4.5 ish), and the average being about 3.5 to 4 in unusuals, this seems to be fair :P

Let's face it, 'average' offers tend to be awful. Just the way outpost is. That's why only the top offers should matter when working with offers.

Anyway, I had assumed you had taken overpay into account in your prices. If that's the case, perhaps 4-4.5? Might take a closer look here and break things down in full later.
