Previous sales that I could find:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/4281142 appears to have sold for 2.5 buds

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6162602 appears to have sold for about bud + 15 keys +5-6 keys in items (at that time, this would be just under 2 buds)

So these appear to be collected since there are aren't many trade histories I could find. Purple energy is priced at 2.4-2.8, there is no reason why this would be a full bud lower.

You realize people like purple energy over green energy in general, right? Even on the second trade, he had his buyout set at 2, and 21 keys, even 3 months ago, was 6 keys under bud price. More recent proof would be nice, but for now a downvote.

that is bad proof, your proof shows a trade for a white one buyout of 2 buds, offer is lower, the other one is level 100.
