Hey, look: I actually bothered to do something constructive here for a change. (:P)
Anyways, I am calling for a price on change on this Strange Loch-n-Load because I feel the price range assigned to it is... nonexistent. It seems that I can't hardly ever find any for anything less than 1 refined, and sometimes for much more than that. Here is ze proof from TF2Outpost:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8608861 - Was selling for 0.83, but offer never went through. Has been sold to a different user for an unknown price

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8852325 - Selling for 1.00
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8873424 - Selling all items in the lot for a craft hat (1.33), which (assuming) would put the Loch-n-Load at 1.00
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8834665 - Selling for 1.11
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8863186 - Selling for 1.22
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8692076 - Selling for 1.22

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8834936 - Selling for 2.00
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8811236 - Selling for 2.00 (with attatched Pyros Killed SP... would normally sell for 1.33)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8836696 - Selling for 2.00 (with custom name and description)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8841958 - Selling for 2.00 (for Strange Dead Ringer, and with Strange Axtinguisher/Stickybomb Launcher. Assuming if the other two are 2.33 and the 'Ringer is 4.33)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8760579 - Selling for 2.00-2.66 range (w/ custom name - Name Tag backpack price [2.00] added to current Loch-n-Load range)
I also got mine for 1.00 three weeks ago (about a day after when the current price was set).
As you can see, a lot of these are being offered on at the high end of the range, and some are located straight over it. I could only find a handful of listings that were below 1.00, and even then, they were largely B/O offers and had odd value ranges. I couldn't find any completed offers, though, so if anyone can give me some pointers on how to find them, that would be great.
This is my first price change on backpack.tf, so try to go easy on me if you can.
I think you need more sold at 1 ref. Neutral for now
not bad, but try to focus on just 1 ref, maybe a scrap or two over if completely necessary, and post people who buy for one ref and not just sell for a ref
I did sold 3 of them for 1.33 each last weekend. So I can upvote
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8877437 selling for 2 rec- with a buyer agreeing to the price 12 hours ago.
first page of my search without even trying. Although I do see fewer trades under 1 ref, that is only one half of the story. Is there a large majority of buyers accepting the 1 refined price?
On the first page of a search for buyers of the loch n load, people are asking to buy for 2 scrap, 1 rec, etc, classic lowballing to resell them.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8861448 This guy is looking to buy for 2 rec. So far without searching past the first page, I found 1 seller for 2 rec with a buyer accepting that price, and another buyer looking to buy for 2 rec.
To prove successful or unsuccessful sales, which is what you need to prove in order to change prices here, you must look at the trade details, see people accepting the 1 refined or more price, and show it through verifying the buyer does in fact possess the weapon. If buyers do not post, "add me" or something of that note, we cannot verify the transaction occurred at the stated price. Second you must also consider the other side of the market. People post metals for items. Are people successfully buying the items they want for the lower end of the price spectrum? Again proof of a transaction is needed. Suggesting prices is a tedious task. Good luck with your future price suggestions.
i had absolutely no trouble buying one for 0.88 and only because i was lazy. i'm sure i could have gotten one for 0.77 or even 0.66 if my time were worth 2 scraps.
http://bazaar.tf/trade/145783 <- omg, not outpost!
b/o's can't be used to suggest prices, everyone is free to ask what they want, so unless they actually sell it doesn't count. Current range is at .66-1, so if you wanna show that .66 isn't possible anymore, you'd have to look at buyers, and see if they are having success at .66, and you should also look at what buyers are offering :) i am staying neutral tho, i've seen some go for a ref recently, but not sure about .66, if its possible or not. Its your job to prove that its not. Look at long time buyers with very little or no success.
also you should point out some of the successful sellers, for example:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7150649 - got a couple adds recently for 1 ref
I did link that one in the description, but you probably already know. :)
Strange weapons can be tricky to find buy values for, because you never know how people are going to treat them and if they actually want them or not. I saw a lot of offers for the Strange Loch-n-Load that went all the way from a scrap to the low end of the current range (.66-ish), but almost nothing for the higher end, hence why I hardly included anything in the description.
I will make sure to look for success in selling listings, however. Thank you for pointing that particular one out.
yeah it was from your proof, i was going through random ones, and saw that some actually had willing buyers, a lot of people just read your notes, and don't really bother going through the links, so if you said "Sellling at 1 ref" they just assume, that the seller isn't having success as its not "sold" yet, so it helps to point out that there are willing buyers ^_^
I see 0.66 all the time though...downvote.
I don't feel like a flat 1 ref is accurate. In only 8 pages I found these:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8894422 - Selling for 0.88
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8877437 - Selling for 0.66
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8545251 - Selling for 0.66
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8881147 - B/O is 0.88 so I assume that means he'll take less?
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8871872 - 4 stranges for 2 ref, one is Scattergun, assuming that means he doesn't value the Loch at 1 ref if there are 2 more stranges left
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8836572 - Selling for 0.88
I don't think 1 ref is accurate. The existing range seems to fit. At the VERY most its 0.88-1. I've bought more than once on classifieds for 0.66 as well.
I'm downvoting based on the above.
your 3rd link isn't selling for .66, thats the c/o
True. But nobody ever bid any higher either. Bid was a week ago, and it was bumped today.
Your 2nd 0.66 refined link says 0.66c/o so thats not the buyout.
Yes, we already covered that. :P
Also, it just sold apparently. No mention of the price he sold it for though.
1 ref is in current range and i dont see reason why to remove the range and replace by flat 1 ref
If buyers can't get an item at the lower range of a price, then the range should be removed to make the price more accurate. Moving from a range to a flat price that's in the range isn't necessarily wrong.
However, I'm going to stay neutral on this suggestion unless someone shows that buyers have little-to-no luck getting at 0.66 ref.
Black, your argument is justified while the suggestor is merely trying to profit at the expense of the economy..
Down V
I'm not trying to profit off of this at all: this is just a suggestion from me because the ratio of sellers at 1.00/Below is largely skewed.
With all of the counterproofing that's gone on, however, I'm really starting to think this won't go through. :-/
I've bought two for 0.66 ref. Downvote.
Could you post your trade history as an image as proof, please? That also helps establish timing as well.
Sure.

Bought the sticky launcher for 0.33 ref and the loch n load for 0.66 ref.
But you're only showing proof of people selling for 1.00 and above, what about proof of buyers offering 1 Ref?
I touched up on that in a previous post, but a lot of the values people offer to buy for this weapon are odd, and generally out of even the current price range. Just look at these:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8865237 - Buying for 0.11
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8417823 - Buying for 0.11
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8836088 - Buying for 0.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8427112 - Buying for 0.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8789667 - Buying for 0.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8396752 - Buying for 0.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8745885 - Buying for 0.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8367861 - Buying for 0.66
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8546320 - Buying for 0.66
I could go on, but you probably get the point. Out of 4 pages, here's the only one I could find that was in range:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8887578 - Buying for Strange Medigun (1.00-1.33)
Oh yeah, but those are plain lowballers, no help to the cause. Only the 0.66 ones could be considered.
I can't find anything myself either.
if you can find buyers at 1 ref it will pass, but your efforts are wasted.
