if the buds are dropping as fast as it seems from tf2 finance something else is the reason i bet tux is what everyone after now days as result less keys for buds out there! upvote mate! if that is what finance prising them seems legit to me!

EDIT: Bought for 27 keys in items. Should clarify that. I'm noticing a lot of people selling em for 27 keys, but have not seen any for 26 keys, just thought I'd through that out there.

There's a pair in there for 26 keys, yes, but I don't have keys. Also, I bought mine from the 2nd owner of the Buds, and so they're quite clean. You can check if you'd like. I'm no longer looking to buy, but just to sit pretty :)

That said, as of 3:30 AM (PST) of March 1st, 2013, there is exactly 1 Buds for sale in the backpack.tf classifieds. Let it be noted as proof!

I heard differently, and from a reliable source, that earbuds drop significantly in value as summer approachs. Long218, a respected (Or incredibly hated) member of backpack.tf told me that a combination of summer crates coming out, and summer sales of games, cause the price of the earbud to drop. According to him, last year, they went as low as 19 keys.

Of coarse, another factor of the dropping earbud price might be the new Tux promo. However, this is all just speculation and words on my part.

well os x is based on bsd and tux is linux so maybe they'll have a fight to the death

It won't be. Way too many of them.

30-40k is not "too many of them."

If anything, that is less than expected. People were assuming there would be more of them than buds considering linux is free.

The reason why Tux won't be bud/bill valuable is because:

1) ButTux

2) Not really sure on its appeal yet

3) Too many people will try to sell for low in a hurry and drive the price down from the beginning more than likely.

price must stay low so people can afford to get 1 at least promo like this.

to many Linux users tf2 fans that will emerge in the future will need 1 of those.

the demand for it will never stop actually !

the price will be determined by the offer at start but 0.75% is a way to low number to satisfy the demand in the near future.

i have said before that 27 is lacks of a range! and the lower end can be purchased as ppl is after keys to invest in the new added promos!

keys on the other hand seems they aren't enough to satisfy traders demand!to many promos!now that the tux enters the market traders understand there is a need to liquify for future investments!

even if the tux will be cost 2 keys and just the 1/3 is traded for pure aprox 200000 from key share will be for a dedicated purpose.

how that will affect prices is something i long to see!

They are selling for 26 indeed, but less often than 27. I'd keep this open till tomorrow because, according to the graph on finance, it should be around 26.5 by then. Maybe later today.

Question for you. Do unusual values trend down with buds on this site or do they retain their intrinsic value?

Just such bs buds are rare because you cant get them anymore some poeople actually delete them cus they hate the man conomy they are not rising in quantity they are decrasing = demand higher and price higher for fuck sake.

actually your statement is false i was watching the quantity's of buds entering the market in comparison to Tux just for i am a stat junkie and the fact is 1000-1500 new buds are scanned from stats.tf every week.if that ain`t a bug then your statement is completely invalid!

i am sure you can ask the admins of stats.tf for further proofs if they keep a history record somewhere in their database!

I am not sure who has the "power" in regulating the market or if sales are being driven on speculation based on last year, but it is like a self-fulfilling prophecy. I guess it's good to be an attentive member on this site.

Valve should release a key package which contains 30 keys.

Keys are selling for 4 refined on outpost now. Rising key prices are finally catching up with buds prices it seems.

I have loads of keys in my backpack, so this benefits me. I want to point that out in the interest of being fair.
