Should the Strange Shovel not cost the same (or more) than the regular?
I don't think it works like that.

Most values are based on the amount of items in existence. There are about 50k strange shovels in the world. There are about 1k regular shovels in the world; regular shovel isn't the default shovel - it's an item that can actually be traded.
Furthermore, the demand for strange shovels is little to nothing, and raising the price will do little to fix that. Truth is, people would rather have an escape plan than a shovel.

The regular is worth half a scrap, the strange is worth a whole one.
Regular shovel isn't a regular weapon. It's like the rest of the default weapons. Most buy at .33. You can only get them by using a name tag on them (though there are rumours that you can get them in drops very rarely?)

When you remove the name, it appears that you had received it in a drop (Server displays: %%NM has found: Sapper or whatever you de-named).
you really should try 0.11-0.22 before jumping to 0.33,
or at least you could've tried 0.11-0.33
jumping straight from 0.11 to 0.33 is not going to happen when you have no proof of it selling at 0.33 and you have two in your inventory.
(well, when raising prices for keys, your proof isn't really read, plus you can have over 700 in your inventory and people will still vote up, but there's less of a market for this strange shovel (not to be confused with the strange market gardener, which is in fact worth 0.33) )

The strange shovel is worth 1 scrap and the normal one is worth .33.

No proof, and in case you need to know why the s. shovel is worth less, and since nobody else has explained it, the reason why the normal, unique shovel is worth so much more is because the only way to obtain a UNIQUE version (rather than a stock version) is because in order to obtain the unique quality, you must first name/ apply a description to the said item, making the price of it fluctuate more upon both the demand and the price of name/description tags. Either way, Downvote from me for lack (hehe) of proof.
