No I don't have perfect proof, yes I might get downvoted, but it's worth a try. Some idiot thought that increasing the key price will get him rich, lots of people still do. Outpost sees backpack.tf prices, and sells at about 0.22 more than max price. Somebody sees this, proofs it, and boom keys are now worth 2 scrap more than they were a week before, so on. This process continues, and I don't like it. Upvote now for the change in price of keys, I DON'T care what classfields sells at, outpost or so on. This is my opinion, as well as many others.

What you're basically saying is "I don't care how much people are actually paying for this, I want it to go down".
People overprice things always, it's the buyer's fault for paying these prices. If the buyers are paying, then that's the new price, don't you agree?

Keys are increasing in ref bc buyers are willing to pay. You cant debate that ..and bp.tf isnt causing the increase, theyd rise either way..

If you really want keys to go down, what you do is you go promote that Steam community group that is boycotting key trades. Just get a majority of key traders in on it and they'll decline... eventually.
What is it with key suggestions that always bring out the irrational side of people?
The market will crash if this continuous, they are going up at an extremely fast rate.
I've heard so many people say they will crash and they've been saying that since the price was changed to 3 ref.
Here's what I want to know: WHY will the key prices sharply decline?
Remember, keys aren't just to open boxes. They are a form of value, people use keys as a currency. Refined metal is also a currency, as keys are worth more refined metal, the metal goes down in value, since it is also a currency.

You can't proof it, everyone is too greedy. It's hard to even find anyone selling at the backpack.tf price of keys anymore. Everyone wants to sell for more than the backpack.tf price.

This will not work, I am sorry. It's right, what you say, but the thing is, the price of refined goes down and down really fast, because weapons are getting dropped like shit, these are made to scrap metal, this is made to rec and this to ref. Boom, we have another refined in the TF2 World. And tons of this happens everyday.
The keyprices are stable prices actually, just the value of metal sinks.

As the amount of metal increases and the amount of keys decreases/are constant, keys:metal ratio will increase. There's abundance of metal lying around. Unless Valve can improve the crafting section, the amount of metal won't go down.
