I've tried selling it below 3 ref, as well, but didn't get any bites before I eventually gave up. Tried at 2.66 - [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8450008[/url] - and even 2.44 - [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8355312[/url].
The Steam Market price also indicated these aren't worth 3 ref. They generally sell anywhere up to $1.40 on a good day, which is 2/3 of a key or 2.66 MAX. Median sale value in the last 2 weeks is $1.05, which is about half a key or 2 ref.
Hmm I'll upvote unless counter proof arises. Two of those selling below 3 refined aren't full which decreases their value. Most collectors want them full.
Ah, didn't notice that. That's fair. Not many of them on OP to begin with, though, so proof is fairly thin for something so cheap; there's not even 2 full pages of listings, and a lot of them are really old and asking for a key.

I was the one who set the price at 3 refined, and I was seriously contemplating putting up exactly this suggestion. There is little to no market or demand for this item, and I agree entirely with your new price.
