Suggestion: Tour of Duty Ticket at 1.77–2 ref

Quick-buyers are paying both current low-end and high-end which would suggest there is room to sell for 2 refined or possibly more. I did not look at sellers since buyers are a better indicator on items such as Tour of Duty tickets when you are raising the value.

Now I feel stupid for missing that, and missing the fact that the hat bots are also ticket bots.

So what if the price raises to 1.88-2.11 refined? If the proof is there it doesn't matter. You completely glazed over my proof and are simply acting uptight because you don't wan't to pay more for a ToD ticket even though my proof would indicate that it would already be very difficult to find a seller at 1.88 refined or below.

It's like the key that you and long constantly raise.

People on outpost.tf are going to sell for the maximum sell price suggested no matter what, and sometimes even one scrap over. the more you raise the price here to match theirs, the more they will raise their selling price to the top of the price suggested here. It has nothing to do with supply and demand, as there are infinite and there is no sudden reason for people buying them, it's just that the people on outpost highball, and when you raise the price to match highballs you're just completing the circle.

Would you say you have ever noticed a rise in prices and bought or sold an item before it's price changed up or down, to save you some metal?

If ticket values on backpack.tf never raised from back when it was set at 1.66, people on outpost would never even dream of asking for 2 ref for a ticket, because they would get so much spam saying it's a highball.

I bought three tickets a couple weeks ago for 1.66 each.

This is simply because people on backpack.tf said "oh yeah, let's raise the bottom price by one scrap", a few days later the upper price is raised one scrap, then, the bottem price, then, the top one.

Same pattern goes with keys. I asked Long why he was trying to lower the price on the Trophy Belt (retired sniper hat), and raise the price on keys, here is his response, (exact quote) "Eh, supply and demand, man. Supply and demand."

There was so much irony, I laughed out loud.

The funny part was this:

The trophy belt suddenly had limited amounts existing in game, as it can no longer be obtained, but keys were still just as available via mann. co store as ever, PLUS, you can buy them for even less on the steam market place.

If anything, especially if your rule to judge by is "Eh, supply and demand, man. Supply and demand.", then shouldn't the trophy belt price go UP and key prices... at least stay the same for more than a week?

Also, if you raise the price now, I assure you more people will be asking for 2.00-2.11 suddenly for their tickets, just because of their highballing. If you leave the price in one place for a week, people won't be asking for higher and higher.

So, by that logic bp.tf should just shut down right now since it shouldnt be allowed to update any prices (by your logic)...

btw, your "proof" has only 5 at 1.88, the current "high price", and 18 different people buying for 1.77

I am a generous man, and sure, I overpaid for my tickets. I don't care, but truthfully, your proof would work more for the current price than the new one

your only buyer you have listed anywhere paying more than 1.88 would be me, and that trade was completed instantly, because I was overpaying
