Yes, I own the hat, but it's a 7 month old price.

Previously Sold (It was difficult to find current sales with the history all screwed up)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5900096 (My offer) - Lantern Elfin' + Bubbling Hallmark (Back when I bought it, the elfin's price was valued higher then it is now (4.7-6), so I adjusted it to the previous price) (7.1)
All the other sales were at least 3 months ago, so they aren't really valid.
The low end of 6 is based on the average of the offers received on the current ones for sale.
The high end of 7 is based on what I paid for it accounting for unusual overpay a bit.
I wouldn't suggest taking averages, as many offers are lower than what sellers accept. The highest two offers are probably good.
And if there's an offer of 7.5, why is the high range lower than that? I know you paid a certain amount for it, but that would fit into the range rather than define it.
I thought of having the upper range at 7.5, but it seems like an outlier because no other offer ever reaches that high, and I took the average of the offers because a majority of them are around the 6 range.
Fair enough, it is an outlier. But it still has to be factored in.
I would actually say the average price of the good offers is 6.3 buds - 6, 6.1, 6.6, 6.3, 6.5, 6, 6.5, 6.3, 6.1 averages out to 6 and 2/3, which rounds to 6.3. So maybe 6.2 - 7 is a little better.
True, I'll re-suggest with that range then, thanks
