Suggestion: Earbuds at 27 keys

Can't find too many buyer trades that support me, mostly because all of them are 26 key buyers who resell, and listing unsuccessful ones would take a long time. Yes, I do own 2 buds, no, this is not for self profit. This is for the accuracy of the site.

The graph is showing a steady increase towards 27 though. If this rate remains the same, the graph would show 26.75 (approx.) by the end of the day.

backpack.tf is about what a price ought to be, its about what the price is.If people are paying 27 keys, then the price is 27 keys whether backpack.tf acknowledges it or not, but if you want to fix the price buy all of the buds and sell them for cheap, I'll buy them :)

Keys are at the bottom of the stable currencey range, the only relantionship whcih is changing is that between metal and keys. (Or the poor TF2 players and the rich ones )

Keys are pretty large @ 4 ref now.. 2 ref is pretty suitable for .5 a key

No, Keys are rising as Keys, Metal & Buds are there own currency for example, let say Metal are Pesos and Keys are USD if USD rise metal doesn't but it will take more Peso to equal the USD since it rose.

I've still been buying buds for 26 keys but it's been geting difficult. I expect the price to eventually hit 27 again but it's not quite there yet. Give it some time. Right now we're in the weekend rush, so it might actually settle back into 26-27 in a few days.

Responding to my own comment here. Things have changed a bit. It's been a struggle just to find buds for 26.5 keys for the past day. I managed to buy 4 at this price but it was a HUGE hassle to find the sellers. It might still settle back down into 26-27 but I think it's more likely that the price will level off around 27, with sellers trying to push it back to 27-28. It's already started happening.

In the interest of being fair, I should disclose that I have just converted most of my keys to buds in anticipation of the price raise. So, I won't be voting on this price suggestion because I'm far from impartial.

I was on a trade server, and got a 27 key offer (didn't take it since I wanted to keep the buds around) within a few minutes of trading an unusual for buds. Just something to keep in mind, I think I'll upvote.

If the cycle is true, buds should have skyrocketed a long time ago.

people will attempt to sell buds for 28 keys, that is why buds went from 27 keys to 27-28 keys for a while, but no one will buy and people will stop trying. and the cycle is true with keys

That means that people will also try to buy for less than market price, and stabilize the price for a while, unless a special event occurs (i.e. New unusual effects, new crate, etc.)

Eheh, I mean stable. There's been a select few traders that aren't even converting to buds (which was the thing back then), so it almost feels like earbuds are becoming LESS in value because of how valuable keys are as an investment now.

Buds are not becoming less valuable, metal is. Keys grow in metal value, whereas the metal is going down.

ex.

1 key ~1 refined (1 key =$1)

-Refined is worth $1

Buds=27 keys (buds=$27)

1 key= 2 refined (1 key=$1)

-Refined is worth $0.50

Buds= 27 keys (1 bud=$27)

Therefore: Keys remain the same price (real money wise) and buds remain the same price (money/key wise) and refined goes down in value (money wise)

Oh yeah, I know, but I was just addressing the key to ref 'crisis', like any other slightly poor bloke does. I was just saying it feels like a better investment to have these keys which will always rise, compared to buds, which rise only when the key price does (which is always).

Impatience isn't a reason to raise the price, it's still possible to buy at 26 keys and 1-3 ref as mentioned earlier. I mainly buy at 27 keys but when I have the time to wait it out trade servers have a lot of sellers for 26 keys.

Shall upvote, many people are forgetting that you can buy buds from scap.tf for 27 keys which alot of people do.

Although, if a lot of people buy from scrap.tf at 27, an equal amount of people sell to them for 26 disproving the suggestion.

Price is fine. You found buyers @ 26 keys, I've seen them on Outpost, too. If anything, adjust the price to 26-28.
