This post has absolutely no relevance to economic value at all. The dead ringer should be going down not up since there are plenty of people selling there's on TF2OP. Secondly since the only way strange items can be got rid of is deleting them (and nobody in there right mind would delete a strange dead ringer) therefore the prices of strange items go down over time due to the number of them being unboxed. the more there is of an item the less it is worth, simple economics.

1. There's a high demand for Strange Dead Ringers since it's the only strange spy watch.

2. At the moment Strange Dead Ringers are found in #38 crates only which decrease steadily in numbers because they're opened.

3. Simple economics do NOT apply to TF2 economy. First lesson to learn. Sad, but true.

1. People are just willing to pay more for Strange Dead Ringers. Thought you got this.

2. There is NO infinite amount of Strange Dead Ringers. When all #38 crates out there are unboxed you'll get ~73.000 more Strange Dead Ringers (unless there isn't a rerelease coming up in a few weeks/months).

3. Strange Dead Ringers aren't a 'currency' like keys. Makes not much sense to compare this. Strange Dead Ringers are fancy, everyone who likes to play spy wants one. They pay the prices. Might not happen in real life economies, but in the TF2 economy.

Btw, upvoting the OP's suggestion.

If you actually looked around, people are willing to pay more for them. Demand at the moment for these is increasing and with that goes the price.

Since it is a very popular strange, most people who get it keep it. This decreases the availability of them on the market. Also with half the people on outpost only selling it as part of a set, that also reduces the number on the market.

Either way, people are willing to pay more for it at the moment and your real life economics do not apply in this situation. Read over his proof and you will understand that.

And my first comment made sense dumbass, I will use an example. Keys have very similar economy-charts to oil. The price of keys will steadily go up until it hits £1.99 on the market and then it will fall due to people buying there keys from the mann co store again. That is simple economics.
