Hugh Jazz and another user named double0me made immature bet last night that blue belts can get large amounts of upvotes and get it accepted with no proof at all. In order to "prove" that was false and uphold the respect of blue belts (which I still regard as idiotic) he made the suggestion as double0me said on Salvaged Crate #40. Of course this caused a ruckus and cleverpun closed it because it was a dumb test and a waste of people's time.

That isn't the purpose of this site, if it is it's doing a smashing job of failing at it. The only purpose of all this voting is manipulation, plain and simple, and even the site has the sense to make it clear that it's only a suggestion (read: meaningless). The first thing any real trader will do when presented with a price from here is laugh. The fact that people are placing bets and conducting "tests" is just more reason that none of this should be taken as reliable.
