Edited for a better price range. The classified does sell for 8-9 keys but those prices were set before crate #50 came out. The recent ones people asked for 16 keys.

Personally I'd say wait to see what happens with the Wheatly sapper first before trying to push prices up on this.

People could end up mostly losing interest and want the new sapper instead resulting in no price change, or even a possible price decrease.

wheatly sapper is kinda irrelevant to this discussion as that is not a strange but just a reskin. people want them for different reasons.

However you cannot deny the fact that it will change the demand for the strange sapper especially given the popularity of portal 2

Wheatly is not strange and I don't see Wheatly being that expensive of an item as the strange sapper.

I would agree to this to some degree but seeing how the black rose and genuine sharp dressers are going (popular reskins from popular games) all we can do it just wait for the market to stabalize.

the only reason a black rose costs so much is because its extremely hard to come by a tradeble one :p the ap-sap will probly end up being worth nearly as much as the s.sapper, but from what i've seen, a lot of people prefer stranges over reskins :/

Tradeable ones are around 2+ buds, and are strictly collector items. Don't bother trying to wave them around as the reason for the increase. It's like saying that Lugermorph prices are goin up cause Sparkly Vintage ones are expensive.

i was talking about the tradeble one... they are only expensive cuz they are rare, which makes them a collectors item.

hahaha, guy who has 28 suggests a raise by .25 keys, and you with only 1 suggest a raise by 3+ keys...

There's not too many people selling for 9 keys anymore, I think 12 keys is a fair price, It's gonna follow in the footsteps of the ullapool caber I think.

Upvote. Now that crate 40 is 9-10 keys, and strange sapper is valuable, this seems reasonable.

I think you should give it some time, however definitely update it so that the sapper is worth more than the salvaged crate itself it makes no sense of it being worth more than its most valuable content

A good price would be the one that somebody can prove to a reasonable degree. The current state of the market with regards to Crate #40 items makes this a highly unlikely possibility. Evidence needs time to accumulate, and you can't prove a pattern in less than a day usually... unless you're a key seller.

This is the essence of why people say "WAIT!".

The market shows the sapper climbing up to 10keys very drastically, I'm not too sure about 13keys as the high end of the range. More proof/links would help.

I dont get why everyone is getting so butthurt about these suggestions, I mean realistically, the sapper was the most expensive strange from this crate, amirite? Crate 40 went up and now it's more profitable to own the crate than to unbox it because NONE of the items in said crate are worth more than the crate itself?

Sappers are fluctuating in demand heavily right now, and the highest sales are all over the place. I'm not a fan of the huge range though, so I think I'm going to choose a more moderate increase for now. We can always adjust the price later.
