Keeping the price at a key, but changing the currency with regards to the future.

The Fez costs 4 ref + 1 Saharan Weapon to craft. This means the max price really shouldn't be higher than 4.05/4.11. With the price of keys still rising, this means that the Fez could still be priced at a key (which could be priced at 4.22/4.33), even when it could be crafted for less.

Not providing any proof as this is a currency conversion.

Although it sounds logical if people are still willing to pay key because they are too lazy to sell key for metal then let they be. It just like people pay 20 keys for a box that cost $14 and buds for something that came out of that box. Outpost logic

At the end of the day, the price remains unchanged at what is essentially the max. If outposters don't know their craft recipes, fine - but there's no harm in helping them with a non-moving price.

Additionally, the Fez can be crafted for 4 refined + 1 weapon. That said, should your top range be higher than what people can craft it for themselves? Keys only became officially 4-4.11 yesterday.

Some people buy weapons for a scrap, even considering the existence of scrap.tf ;)

That doesn't make 'normal' weapons a scrap though. and even long before scrap.tf, people have and still do 1:1 weapon trades. I'm fully behind your idea, trust me (this is something i'd like to have on everything priced at 1 key or so currently) just not the top range.

But the suggestion made it look like he was lowering the price. I'm merely converting the currency, but keeping the price the same.

With key prices out of control this really should be priced in Ref since it does have a crafting recipe.

Because key prices are constantly inflating, pricing it with ref seems like a more stable option. The hat isn't becoming more expensive, but keys are. I don't see any reason to downvote, so I'll support this.

It is a big mistake in your concept, if you said "The hat isn't becoming more expensive", then we should stick to key price.

Once again, it is the value of refines dropping, not the value of key rising.

This makes sense to me. The arguments against this suggestion basically would be that we must preserve the ignorance of those who would pay a key no matter what.

I'm gonna up vote. I wonder what the community will say though.

Your logic is hard to say no to. At most it takes 4.11 ref to craft specifically (although I have personally crafted around 4 set hats randomly) and considering the love this set has, the price makes sense to me. Upvote.

Makes sense but the keys will rise again in a day, Just leave it for now.

                  ez gud profet scheme!

I will upvote this, only because of the logical argument that is being supplied in proof's stead.

What about people who prefer dropped hats over crafted ones?

                      Upvoted,though :P

haha this has never occurred to me for some reason and i consider myself to be usually quite aware of stuff like these (although i don't craft so that may be why). therefore i doubt if many people realise this as well.

maybe i should sell mine now and craft my own :) what do you think?

Oh I see what your idea is, yeah I should do the same, its better to have my craft name then a random one

This makes no sense. You can craft one of these yourself with 4 refined and a Saharan spy weapon.
