i say the price will most likely go down. and the price range is high because its new. almost all new items are worth alot when they first come out. i say the price will defiantly go down.

It won't go down, so far all of the "What's in the...." boxes have had successful items and successful prices.

Lets be honest here, just look through all the links, its very consistent in this price range. Additionally, if there needs to be a price change after this proof. Well, then we can do that, cause that's what backpack.tf does.

The price is not stable at the moment, one day passed since it was released and you are already setting the limit for its value. The price may change tomorrow as HOARDS of people have no idea of new salvaged across trade servers. My point still stands. Also, bacpack.tf is a terrible place for pricecheks fyi and your suggestion is a living proof. And I am not the only one who thinks that, far not the only one.

I prefer using tf2outpost for proof because they seem to have a lot more people buying and selling this item there rather than backpack.tf.

Can't this be acquired by purchasing a 13 dollar CD? I don't see how it could be worth around 20 keys.

It doesn't matter how much it costs in real world money, it only matters how much the market is valuing it at (SUPPLY AND DEMAND) is a big factor in anything.

Little weary of this suggestion. Most of those high offers come from the start of the update. I've seen a lot of sellers recently most going for the 19-22 key range. On my phone right now, so I can't father the links.

Actually a lot of these links are really recent, especially if you look at the 22 key seller thats selling them super fast and many other links you can find recent offers in this range.

Average price on the steam community market is about 18.5 keys, imo. Look at the average price sold for ($40) and the average key on there goes for (~$2.17), it comes out to a little over 18.5.

The only way you would get 20 keys is if you could buy keys for $2.00 on there or had some other way of making that $40 into 20 keys.

Ok there's a difference between the market and outpost, we base most prices off of outpost cause it's the true place where we can see what prices (in keys) these items sell for, so it's best to base it off of outpost.

Who told you that? This is a major problem with this site. People thinking outpost is the only source of sales.

well i had no issue to sell 2 boxes for a max head yesterday it was the same as easy as to buy 3 for a max.

it depends from the buyer how bad he wants it and cause of the price is not set yet you can have some fun by experimenting with your trades.

I agree. I just thought it was worth mentioning. Kind of how people mention Tf2 finance for keys. It never hurts to have multiple sources. I honestly don't have a problem with this value the OP is suggesting. I thought this was worth mentioning.
