Sigh, this had to be suggested sooner or later, and I'm going to volunteer myself to be that brave soul.
Speaking personally, from recent times I've noticed just how tough it can be to purchase buds for even 27 keys.
First article of proof I can pull up is the Classifieds. I saw one or two selling for 27 keys, but sold practically instantly. All currently are selling between 27.5-28. http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/earbud
Lots of quickbuyers try to buy for 26, but are not successful.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9342678
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9239428 (not going to add any more 26 trades, the place is swarming with them.)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9304762 (26.33)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9355616 (My own trade, 12 hours and no buds bought for 27.)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9368308 (27)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9312747 (27, 1 day old trade)
Now for the sellers. As mentioned before, most tend to put their buds up for 28 keys, but it's definitely not impossible to find some for sale anywhere between 27-28.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9354164 (28)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7020805 (28)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/3008910 (28)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8989520 (28)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8745919 (28)
Almost all TF2Outpost trades are selling for 28, as shown. However, once again it's definitely not impossible to buy for 27 + X.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9317544 (27 + 1 ref, sold many for a small amount over 27 very recently)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9352910 (27.33 [craft hats valued at .33 keys.])
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9217696 (27.5, has had recent offers of 27.33 and 27.5)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8710949 (27 + 2.33 ref)
And inb4, the backpack.tf classifieds.
TF2 Finance holds buds at 27.31 keys. http://tf2finance.com/
Hopefully this was enough information to convince you about the slight raise in the price of buds. More proof will be filled in if necessary.
I got many adds once I post trades at 27. I will put up proof in a sec.
and 28 keys is pretty hard price to reach

28 isn't a hard price to reach for patient people. I sold 3 buds for 28 each over the course of a week. even if it's not instant, the market is still there.
damn dude why do people hate you? xD
*insert comment from Long218 about how heaven=tf2finance here*
:/
Hell is spreadsheet
That's why I only use here c: keeps my tf2 economy drama meter low c:
Clearly, you've never wandered into one of the key suggestions this site holds recently...
I can agree with this in an instant. I had to pay 19keys and a painted bills to get mine, no one really sells for 27 these days.
c:
Raising the price on them again will make sellers ask for more than what they're worth. They'll start asking for a ridiculous 29 keys and it'll be anarchy.
Speaking of anarchy...

YEAH EFF THAT TABLE
UPVOTE: i recently sold one for 28 keys in hours. http://www.subirimagenes.com/otros-bud28keys-8361818.html
27 keys + 1/2/3 ref is kinda easy to find, mostly flooded with 28 keys though. I did sell a pair for 28 yesterday.
I sold one for 28 yesterday myself. Not too tough to sell, surprisingly. But 27 + X sells for fairly quick.

Proof of my transaction as well: http://i.imgur.com/uJX43Ki.png
Really? I must be unlucky then. Put up a trade selling 2 unduped buds 2 8each, best offer so far is 53 for both T.T
I'll vote yes, however I am not pleased by the fact that unlike many other items, earbuds are not sold accordingly to their amount, but are rather used as a currency with a price fixed at the 25-30 key area.
Earbuds were around before the trading era. Users selected them to be a form of currency, and so they made their way up to what they are now. Something with a limited quantity and high desire needed to be used. Nothing can be done to change that now, really. Same with Bill's.
you increase to 28 keys
and the thieves will sell for 29
you increase to 29 keys
and thieves sell for 30
If you continue like this will never end
create shame in the face
as well as the keys that are 4 ref
stabilize prices.
"thieves"
huehuheuheuehuehuehueheuhe
Buds are stable, in fact. They fluctuate between 26-29 keys.
Also, capitalism appears to be your great enemy. If selling something higher than what it was bought for makes someone a thief, go live in a communist country and get out of TF2 trading, which is a free market.
if this guy watches the metal price of keys, his head will explode.
Well, I guess I have to apologize for making a suggestion which reflects the economic state. Shoot me.
I do not speak English, I used google
but just wanted to say
no point rise in price
and that will always have a scammer
>scammer
If you don't speak English, why are you on a site where people converse in English?
i dont care :D
I don't really think you should discriminate someone for not speaking English.
I may not agree with his point, but don't try to start a confrontation with him over the fact that he is on a mostly English speaking website and is using Google translate to express his ideas.
No one should be put down simply for not speaking the same language as you.
I never put anybody down. My suggestion was that using Google Translate is not a very good way to talk to someone.
Speaking from experience, due to the impossibility of making a deal with someone who adds me when they can't speak English.
and yet this "english only" site is responsible for his prices? that's a rather f'ed up attitude, skydra.
His point is fairly clear. No need to give him a hard time.
Nein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to agree, Selling for 27 is too easy
http://scrap.tf has changed their buying price to 27 keys and selling price to 28 if that matters.
It does :)
show me a lot of people offering 28 keys :D
Yesterday I had 2 separate people add me and sell me buds for 26 keys, even though I know there are buying trades for 27.
Then it took 7 hours+ for both to sell at 27. But I had some random add me saying he was going to 'restock' off me after he sold his. I asked him what he was selling them for and he said 28 keys and that he'd 'sold 4 today'. But I know for a fact there are MASSES of 27 + X ref selling trades up.
Buds have me so confused now.
I upvote this, last time I put buds up for sale, i sold 2 pairs in less than 24 hours for 28+ keys (the + was more for item overpay). Also, in that 24 hours, I did work a 10 hour shift (with no chance to bump my trade) and I did sleep a solid 6-7 hours that night, so I still say it's quite easy to sell buds for 28 keys.
UPVOTE its been this way since days ago
good to see a suggestion up. sold 4 for 28 in a few hours 2 days ago. and couldn't buy any at 26-27
Not one buyer shown paying 28. Clearly move the price up to 28.
Now you all are going to screw with unusual trading and that is finally when this site loses all credibility.
You're acting as if this post will 'determine the tides of every unusual trade on the market' or something. Buyers are expected to want to pay less than the market value. If all buyers asked for full price, there would be no market in the first place. However, sellers on the other hand are the ones charging up to 28.
For example:
If someone bought a bud for 27 keys and sold it back for 27, would that be any useful? Of course not. They would need to charge slightly more in order to make a profit. And in conclusion, there are buds being sold for 28, therefore 28 is the high end of my suggestion.
You need buyers or it don't matter what you want to sell your item for. No one has shown anyone buying at 28.
Something that seems lost on everyone here.
Want proof you guys fuck with the system? Long has 13 new buds in his BP...
Lets guess what he paid for them?
Not fucking 28 that is for sure.
To your edit. buds are a currency, genius.
If my boss gives me 100 dollars I expect to get $100 worth of shit not $110 worth of shit.
All I can say is, if you don't like my suggestion, just downvote and move on.
No need to start a tantrum.
"He disagrees with me and is willing to debate, Get him the fuck away from me."- NinHunter
Nah. Just sayin', try not to be a douchebag unless you want to make your own suggestion. :)
That is not how it works, child.
When you have a suggestion that effects people you have to be willing to back up your suggestion with reason.
Like in this fucking case, Showing someone paying 28 keys.
That is not asking to much.
Not entirely sure why you refer to me as a child...
Anyway, in a way you've got me. There's no strong eminent evidence of people buying buds for 28 keys, beside that of the seller's trades. My own proof of selling a bud for 28 keys isn't enough for obvious reasons. One of the main reasons I chose for the range to be 27-28 was because 27.5 or in that area seemed to be a median. However, it's tough but not impossible to buy for 27, and tough but not impossible to sell for 28.
lul
Down voting me for explaining how currency works.
This is why 14 year old with their mothers credit cards should never have anything to do with economics IRL or on the internet.
Just as an fyi the only money I spent on this game was to buy a sticky jumper from the store to upgrade my account to premium. Also, my backpack is worth three times more than yours, so no need to explain~
I am going to use you as an example for whats wrong with bp.tf.
bye bye for now.
M'kay. Tootles~
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9253928 < sold 3(even though 2 only were deleted) for 27 keys + 2.00. Not a quicksell but it happens.
