Given that nearly everyone in the latest suggestion thread http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51468570ba2536310200002c disagreed with the bottom end price and the only evidence amidst stacks of posted trades was one seller who quicksold I do not understand how this new price range was accepted.

As I posted in that thread, within 24 hours of posting my hat last week I received two people offering what I was asking (2 buds pure) though I decided to keep the hat instead. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9249613

Before people accuse me of trying to increase the value of my own hat. Don't be silly. The other thread had ample proof of people receiving and accepting multiple offers of 2 buds pure. There was a single outlier provided of Max Head + EA, 2.2 but I consider this an outlier as well.

Quicksells happen from time to time for various reason, but 1 person out of 100 is an outlier, not something to base a price range on.

This hat is consistently sold at 2 buds, the range should reflect that. Furthermore, the previous thread supported this new range.

You are very right. I saw almost the exact thing you saw in that suggestion.

I recently sold mine for around 2.1 buds.

(1 bud + TS bills + crate 40) and im counting on the fact that crate 40 is raising in value, not its current value. (estimated value to be near 22 keys)

Future estimates mean nothing. What you sold it for today is today's value.

You sold it for 1 bud + TS bills + Crate 40 (~10).

I mostly agree with you about future estimates, but I did some research as I was curious as to when he actually sold the hat since 1.7 buds is pretty close to a quick sell.

He acquired earbuds and a crate 40 from a user about 5 days ago. http://backpack.tf/item/267376078 6 days ago Crate 40 stopped dropping. For the next day or so prices for Crate 40 were all over the place. He very easily could have estimated the Crate 40 at 20 keys at the time of the trade.

So to turn it around, today's estimate means nothing when valuing the trade at the time he sold it. If he had made this trade two weeks ago, I would have reconsidered my suggestion, but given the timing of his sale I stand behind the 1.9-2.1 range.

Crate #40 reached 12-13 at the peak. Never did it reach 20 keys.

Yep. I did. I looked at all backpack.tf previous price suggestions and I also looked on OP, and basically every seller at 15+ keys went unsold.

Would the mods allow early unusual price changes though? Standing by that, I'll be neutral (with more inclination towards up+)

It was widely agreed in the last suggestion that narrowing to something like this would make for a better suggestion.
