Why is there a range set on Service Medals? Considering the lower numbers make the most... Its kinda ridiculous to have the 300 medal identical to the 9685 one... Taken all of these from the first page of searching alone.

CONCLUSION

You simply cannot put a low range on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE MEDALS. Not unless Backpack splits up the prices of the medals like they did the "Something Special" Ring. I don't even KNOW the price of the Service Medals. But to have 11 keys as the price on, for example, the 63 shown above is madness. The price is fine for 4000 and up, but once you get lower, the price gets completely out of whack. Backpack.tf needs to fix their pricing on these medals. Surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Are you playing dumb? Of course they don't have craft number but everyone could understand what "walla" said, all the medals have an obtainment number that works the same way as they were crafted... and obviously, some numbers are highly wanted...

problem is that every medal will have 30 keys value. You are not first who made that sort of suggestion. You can offer on forums to add different prices into field (w/bonuses) for low numbered ones, but it's pretty bad idea to make 30 keys price for all medals when most of them have hight numbers and valued in current range

Of course I don't think all medals are worth this much. I think the low number medals are worth more, and high number medals are worth less. But backpack only has this one range, to cater for every medal, which is wrong. You try and buy the #521 Medal for 11 keys. It won't happen. Not even for 20 keys. Immediately we see the price is wrong there.

Why doesn't Backpack.tf create more ranges then? They have two prices for the Someone Special Ring (one is 1 bud "Giftable" and the other 10 buds "Tradable") But only one price range for every single medal. Theres only about 30 tradable rings. Theres 11112 Medals.

so ur saying there should be 11112 prices for only medals? how about we make all prices for all of the craft numbers of every single hat? there will be a new price every single minute

I'm saying we make 3 ranges. Low, Middle, and High. Low being 1-1000. Middle being 1001-3000, and High being 3001+. Low obviously gets a range of 2-3 buds. Perhaps 3-4 buds. Middle approximately 1 bud, and High being 10-11 keys.

I dun wanna be a buzz kill but these ranges don't work out. I've seen a few already and they just got closed. Look at the sugg. feed. for example.

Yes it is but it's like other items. They only count the rare items themself here. Levels and craft numbers for example are never included aswell. Trust me, it will get closed, don't wast some of your rep.

You can't Craft the Service Medal. These were handed out and numbered #1 to #11112. The thing is, Backpack.tf has two separate prices for the "Someone Special" Ring. One for Glitched, one for non-glitched. And yet, theres only one price for the Medals. In my eyes, this is wrong. They have the capabilities to change this for the site, but they don't have it done.

It's your decision, but I'm 99% sure it will get closed. It might need a range, but "this item" is a normal service medal at ~#3000+.It's a rare exeption, but most (~8000) are sold in the current range, therefore no bigger one existst.(and in general: If it's so obvious, somebody else would heave already made a suggestion like this.)

If it gets closed, well, I can't do much more than give out what public awareness I have, not to trust backpack.tf pricing on service medals. Backpack.tf is a Bible. To 99% of traders, you can't sell or buy less than what Backpack says. I owned the 1800 medal before. I sold it for an unusual worth ~1 bud. Using backpack.tf, this should have been impossible.

Please don't use price suggestions just to make a point.

We are aware of the problem, it's been brought up before. If you'd like to encourage the site to implement a medal number split, please post in the Suggestion section of the forums.

You could put a range for any hat then from 1.33 - 30keys for example, because lowcrafts and cool craft nr sells for a higher price.

A range of 10-60 keys will ensure people will sell their 10-11 key medals for 50-60 keys, why? Because it's the price range. Regular weapons don't have a 0.05 ref - 30 keys range just because there are more valuable (low craft #) weapons. Those will stand out either way. Prices are ment for the regular items.
