Sunbeams Outdoorsman is realllly outdated so I wouldn't consider that a proper price

I wasn't saying you were wrong. I'm not 100 percent sure of my suggestion, so were I you I'd leave it up and let the voters and other mods decide which is more accurate.

Does anyone else think the range is fairly large?

Not uncommon for halloween effects.

Regarding the suggestion itself, I'm thinking maybe a middleground between the two suggestions may be in order here?

1.6 seems a bit low, 4.5 sounds a bit high.
