Sorry for having to do this again, but it happened quicker than I anticipated.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9870201 - Quicksold at 2.5 buds (Outlier)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9469479 - 3 buds and 8 keys 'Quicksell'
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9849750 - 3 buds and 8 keys 'Quicksell' (Hint: It stops being a quicksell if there is more than one trader selling at said price, it becomes a norm) - Also would have accepted $85 Paypal = Less than 2.5 buds with buds at $35.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9916435 - Buyout 4 buds
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9894256 - Buyout 4 buds
Best offers thus far on any of these are as follows in no particular order:
Blizz Bonk boy
Smoking company man + 1 bud
How did I come to my lower and high value?
Lower value was based on the 2 trades that had a buyout of 2.5 buds (1st link) and the trader that would have accepted $85, third link. I then took the buyouts of the 2nd and 3rd link (3 buds 8 keys - roughly 3.4 buds) and averaged the 2.5 and 3.4 buyouts to come to 2.9.
High value was based on the 3.4 bud buyouts and the current 4 bud buyouts and averaged out. Also taken into consideration were the unusual offers, and they fit into this new suggested range.
I welcome suggestions as usual.
Buyouts don't set a price
They do when they sell at that price. What price would you suggest then?
What they sold it for, not what they are asking for. If I ask 20 keys for Bill's, will it be a price for it?
No, but where did I write that I was setting the prices based on buyouts? Did you actually read my original post? Links 2 and 3 show that the buyout was 3 buds and 8 keys and was accepted/sold at that price. Links 4 and 5 show buyouts of 4 buds. I averaged the prices of the 3 buds and 8 key buyouts with the 4 bud buyouts because the 4 bud buyout is lower than the previous high range of 4.3 and because 3 buds and 8 keys were listed as 'Quicksells'.
Your example of setting the price of 20 keys for a Bill's doesn't apply here because I wouldn't use your trade as proof seeing as it would be a ridiculous outlier.
Some of your calculations seem a bit arbitrary. Honestly if two had b/o of 3.3 (1 of whom was willing to take 2.5 in cash) and if one other one sold for 2.5, I would say high end of 3.3 pure. Base low end off of the other decent unusual offers. These seem to be around the 3 range, so 2.6-2.7 pure for the low end? Even 2.5 for the low end is not unreasonable since two different sellers accepted that.
You would be correct, except they were all quicksells. Now I'm no professional valuation expert for tf2 but when something is quicksold people generally don't base the price off quicksold items. The assumption is that if something sells that quick, it is also possible to get much more if you are willing to wait for a good offer. There's no sense in dumping a price because a few quicksells, which is why even my last suggestion was a gradual lowering of the price rather than a price crash.
Exactly why it should be a low end. It IS possible to get more (3 buds + 8 keys). But 2.5 isn't an aberration if two sellers are willing to take that. Maybe 2.5 is a tad low, but based on offers and the sale below, I'd say a range of 2.7-3.3.
In any case, yours is better than the current range. If no one posts a countersuggestion, yours will get passed, anyways.
I agree with your comments for the most part but I think erring on the side of caution is better especially with the tf2 market. Which is why I prefer gradual decreases rather than a huge price drop.
Also, I still stand by what I said about the 2.5/3.4 being quicksells, which is why I thought it appropriate to have this suggested range.
Obviously, I shall review the price again in a couple of days and re-suggest if necessary, as I have done today,
Fair enough
i could see all the unusual wraith wraps gonna get new prices if this one comes to pass actualy try to look what the diffrent effects are priced at.
I used to own link 2
I sold mine on pink taco for 3 pure and a strange holy mackerel with crit kills and dominations. I added 2 keys. This hat sadly died. I broke even but wasted 2 and a half weeks

Thanks for weighing in.
no offence but you got yourself to thank for that you started the whole quicksell thing and suddenly 2 others also quicksold to get sold.
First of all quicksales dont change the price
Second of all There are many more trades on op other than this one
NEEDS MORE PROOF
thumbs down
My previous suggestion has the Dionysos trade in there, C/O is $100 didn't think it was relevant here, two of the trades is put up twice by the same trader and Archimo doesn't have a set price for his.
Am I blind or are you being silly? Or are you blind to not see the evidence I've provided for sales?
for some reason i like how my name is mentioned there... enough about that. well i put 4 buds as my buyout in pures as i realy am getting tierd of the lvl of mine after knowing what it means and i realy just want it sold to finish my collection. now that it is said i would also state some facts.
1st. mostly people will always try to buy stuff cheaper aka placeing lowballs or place item offers see for example mine as proof as i set my buyout to 4buds i nearly instantly get 2 lowball offers after each other.
2nd. it's not like this is a bills or something nearly everybody can aford it's quite an expensive unusual and it's not something you just randomly buy thats why people try to place low offers so they can quicksell and earn on it.
3rd. the quicksells got sold rather fast when considering that it's not like something you just search for so i assume they got brought right away when somebody who could aford it saw the trade.
Sorry for any above Grammaticaly issues i did not want to run it trough.
The level of yours makes no difference to the value, yes it's a level 69 but that level only really affects circling heart effects.
1. That's called common sense really, of course people want to buy items lower than what they're worth, it's haggling. Your set buyout of 4 buds has nothing to do with what people are offering you, people will usually offer the same thing on all available trades in the hope that someone accepts it as it is usually a good deal for them. For you they may be lowballs, for someone else, it may be a good deal.
2. I wouldn't categorize your unusual as 'expensive'. I would say it is a low-mid tier unusual with a low-mid tier effect. Your argument here makes no sense, obviously people that can't afford it can't offer as much as you want, what's your point? Again, refer to point 1. Obviously people want to buy lower to resell for profit, that's what flipping is.
3. I don't know how to reply to this if I'm honest. The point of a quicksell is that it sells fast... QUICK. SELL. So it's priced to sell quickly at a low price, get it?
Also replying to your comment below this, yeah people WANT 4 buds for it, will they get it? Only time will tell. But the suggested range is for what has already been sold or offered on the item, which is how values are calculated.
In answer to your question, when more than one person is 'quickselling' the same item for the same price, I would argue that yes, that does make the price drop. It's clearly a hard sell and they're more than happy to get a quicksell price for it.
For your last point, that wouldn't work because there will always be someone who will buy that key purely to resell. It wouldn't prove a point or drop the key prices, it would just prove that they're idiots.
well i cannot ague to much about it all i can say is well i am pretty sure not everybody who wants this hat can aford it and mostly the people who can aford it want to buy it cheaper to resell. realy i personaly could't aford to buy this hat for look that why i try to get it sold as i rather want something else.
as i see it the quciksells got sold rather quick and now people want atleast 4 buds for it on outpost. beside does qucikselling where you take 25-50% of prices off and clearly states it makes an items price skydrop?
edit: in this case i would love to see people who want keys low in price selling it for a scrap just to make it drop to extremly low prices.
well i agree on that but it might be because i have one atleast your speech have more weigth then mine i assume?
