Buyer trades are very much relevant for high volume currency items like earbuds. There is always a strong amount of competition on the buyer trade, so outliers occur with much less frequency. As opposed to unusuals, where competition on the buyer side is minimal and filled with people shotgunning for several cheap unusuals with absolutely no preference.

It may be difficult to get proof. How many times is this item even traded for keys in order to set price correctly?

I believe so.

The price of buds always fluctuates the price actually rose during the key rise if you take a chance to check it. The price has been raising since Halloween, but I suppose it can be said the its rise has kicked up since Christmas. The price is most likely decreasing due to people's expectations of a possible big summer update and are stocking up on keys in order to have smaller currency when they are trying to flip for profit when it hits. This is similar to the price of buds decreasing before Halloween and Christmas updates along with decreasing during the Pyromania and Fall updates.

Ask your self how many people have 25 keys to buy an item with. Not many. If they have that many they may want to hold onto them while buds appear to be wavering a bit.

It's part of a guess. If you want to trade for some great #50 items, you'll need keys, not buds.

Also, they seem to decrease at this time each year so I guess it's following a pattern

Just like Baloo said, Buds actually went up as keys went up, so that argument is invalid.

No sign of trades at 27 keys is enough to prove that 26 keys flat is outdated.

I've never liked WH, so I can't say I'm completely clear on how it all works but going by that pricelist you're selling keys to WH @ 13,440 each, so in order to buy a bud (362,500) it'll cost you close to 27 keys.

Unless I've missed something, I'm a bit tired, but my point is... gawd I hate WH and it's silly little Disney money system. scrap.tf is a much better vindication of this suggestion, given that they're turning buds around with buy/sell values that are less than the current backpack.tf value.

WH has gotten really solid lately tho and people are selling keys there too. current stock of keys is ~1500. 2 weeks ago everyone would fight over the 1 or 2 someone sold there for a loss.

scrap.tf is clearly a quickseller's domain tho. you don't feel like dealing with a trader, go see if scrap.tf has keys and if they do you're done.

I understand that buds are going down in price. I'm definitely upvoting. I question why that is though. Is it because keys are going up? Someone explain how a promo like this keeps dropping in price please.

The price of buds have been going up and down since 2011. They're around the same price now as they were at this point of time last year. They'll probably go back up to 29-30 keys by the end of summer.
