Suggestion: Earbuds at 22–23 keys

yes ill be honest 22.5-23 is better, but buds have never passed with .5 in their range. Also I had looked at a couple, and some were duped, so maybe you might have looked at those, check the backpack too see if they still have the same leveled bud

I have actually bought some for 21 as well, but 22 is easier to find.

People want $1.70 keys that's why. There's a dude selling 54 of them on SPUF for 24 keys then 23 keys he still has 53 of them. Two of my friends claim to have bought buds for 19 keys, but that's not exactly proof, just hearsay. I feel buds will bottom out at 21 keys.

You should check Classifieds more often.

That's why BP.TF isn't really a good thing. Sure, it helps some people price some stuff, but a very few select group of people (admins) make choices for thousands and thousands of people that trade. A better way to have designed this website would have been to have keys at a fixed price; but of course, that would never happen. Eventually they'd inflate.

I often thought that Valve should just make their own price tracker that would account for every single trade and not a select few. I realize that it'd probably be pretty easy to manipulate however.

If I'm not mistaken, backpack.tf stores Unusuals as a price in USD, so it wouldn't affect the value.

Max price keys will get to will be around $2 (since you can buy on steam market). And buds are staying stable around 34-36. So buds won't go below 17-18. And they probably won't even hit that low.

Seeing TF2 economy fall this much is really sad.

Absolute upvote. Something needs to be done about the key inflation.

Its not that buds are dropping, but rather that the key inflation is causing them to be worth less keys, the price in refined actually might be raising.

I guess that buds are falling because of keys price.

Btw, who can answer me, WHY buds are falling, and HOW tf2finance works?

Keys used to be sold through paypal at $1.30-40. now its $1.70-75. I assume that this is because keys now cost more refined. The mass idlers wont sell for the same cheap price they used to when it now requires almost twice as much metal per key as it used to. Consequently buds are falling in price too!

I can understand why keys are rising, but I can't explain why buds are falling. And seems that falling of buds is a season event

I think I understand this situation now, and it's quite simple to explain:

After a positive hype comes a negative one.

And what happened for example to the #40 items? The exact same thing.

Normally the TRUE demand/supply should make the prices.

By the time a positive hype starts a lot of kids realise that they can play brokers and they get into the business: buy a lot from the hyped items. This helps raise the price above the prices that could be made from the work of the TRUE demand. Why? Because these times a really big percent of the buyers are "brokers".

These brokers of course want to sell their items in a short time, to see their profit really fast. Then comes the height of the hype.

Brokers try to sell their items, but:

- the real demand is frequently less than normally, because they don't want to pay that much for the items, and anyways these people buy less pieces of the items in a short period of time than the supply is

- most of the brokers who were intend already invested in this business, and those who not, don't really want to pay this overpriced amount of money for the item

And then comes the panic we're just in.

Panic also helps raise the demand, because when people who liked these items and didn't want to sell them see they're dropping in prices also put up trades.

The last answer: Why bud's price drops exactly in the end of march? 2011 price drop was from 15th march till 1 april. Why exactly this time?

Yesterday same time I bought two at 21.5 and 22 keys with many more at classified for the same price, but not anymore. Now you pay 23 or you don't buy. Numbers traded and prices have both risen considerably over the last 8 hours.

Are we taking quicksells in consideration now? i've been seen they go for 23 or even 24 still.

i was thinking about doing this suggestion myself, but when i saw, only quicksales were going for 22, i tried buying them at that price, with a bit of effort, got some for 22.5. so yea, 22.5-23 would be a better range, but they wouldn't accept that.

its a currency. if buds dont sell in a certain time frame at market price, its unsold. also most trades have autobump, so thats even worse.

I agree with the 23-24 key price range. But I disagree with buds "falling" in price. Buds $ value has risen over the past few weeks. I think it is best to say keys are rising $ and the cost to buy buds with keys is dropping because of it.

oh they all sold :( there were a decent amount there. Outpost there are a couple, they usually sell decently quick. its not lowballing, if with the proof shown by others and me above, if its possible to get for less than 23

The only reason bud values are dropping is because of quickselling. We need to stop quicksells, they're nothing but scams.

It did not stop with crate 40 it should have worth around 20 key when crate 50 came out now its worth even less. Keys doubled at price for no reason. Bud is falling because scamming trades are shown as proof all over the place. ( while its less then the 1 % of all the trades including that items)

Crate forty isn't worth that much because it's a shit crate. No other reason. You shouldn't have invested in something which any decent trader could tell that it would be worthless. The crates are only as strong as their contents, and forty has dire stranges in it.

Crate 50 is way worse then 40. Its not my fault people lowballed the shit out of stuff and its showed here is standard proof :P

#50 has three decent Stranges in.

#40 had one, but that one item was released as Festive, making the crate completely worthless.

Show me the trades with CLEAN buds that go for 22 keys. I've been HEAVILY looking the last 24hrs and there are none. I've only seen a couple DUPED ones at 22 (not Valve cleaned dupes either, REAL Dupes). Definitely not enough to even have the low end at 22, let alone that as the current price. I wish there were some clean "timed drop" non dupes for 22 keys. I'm ready to buy 3 of them at that price right now. :/
