Hello guys, I want to share a price suggestion with you guys and see if you guys agree with me or not. By far, the strange escape plan has one of the most inaccurate price range in backpack.tf. I have been thinking that since 2 weeks ago, and since nobody made this suggestion, I would be attempting it. Let me begin with my price analysis:
Link 1: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9611249
*3 weeks, aytobumps every hour
*Selling for 1 key, AKA 4.66 ref, much higher than current range
*3 comments buying it.
Link 2: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10166205
*19 hours, autobumps 2 hours
*Selling escape plan 1 key or 4 ref. Guy probably took it for 4 ref, but that is still way above current range.
Link 3: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10165690
*20 hours, auto bumps 1 hour
*Selling escape 1 key, sold one
Link 4: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9609844
*3 weeks, no autobump, but trader seems to be quite active at bumping it
*Selling at 1 key each
*2 adds
Link 5: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6618590
*4 months, autobump every hour
*Selling for 1 keys/ 4 ref
*has 2 RECENT adds for escape plan
Link 6: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7597673
*3 months, autobumps every 1.5 hours
*selling for key plus 1.33 ref each
* 2 adds for escape (only for a key tho)
Link 7: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9365116
*1 month, no autobumps, use bumps it actively
*selling for 4 ref
*offer of dirty mercs scarf (3.66 ref)
Link 8: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9817462
*2 weeks, no autobumps
*sold it for 3 ref (higher end of current price
Link 9: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9936751
*1 week, no autobumps
*selling for key, SOLD
Link 10: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10128024
*2 days, no autobumps
*selling for 3.33 ref
*someone added him for that price, but in the end since trader was not online, he bought one at 4 ref
Link 11: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10167050
*19 hours, autobumps every 2 hours
*selling for 1 key/ 4 ref
*sold 2
Many other people sells for 3 ref or higher, but I am only showing the really high priced ones that actually get sold, indicating that s.escape is much more valuable than the current price, especially how it cannot be unboxed anymore
Of course, with all the people with SUCCESSFUL trades selling for 1 key or 4 ref, the new range for escape plan should really be 4-4.66 ref ish, or even 1 key flat. However, I believe that we need to increase the price by a little bit first, and see how the community reacts to it. A sudden huge change is bad for the TF2 economy. 3-3.66 ref seems like a good range, for now.
Please leave a comment below if you are free and tell me what you think, whether or not it is agreement or a criticism. =) And have a nice day!
Thanks to Ken:) for proof
Link 2: Closed, no proof of him actually selling it for a key
Link 3: No new key in the last day
Link 4: Where does it say he's selling for a key? And the person offering a key wanted change.
Link 5: Same buyer trying to buy for 1 Key as in Link 1. No bites for months before that.
Link 6: Over a month old
Link 7: Unsold, and who cant say what scarf that was (stockbrokers? merc' pride? etC)
Link 8: In current range
Link 10: None sold. And if the person was in such a hurry that they went to find someone else to openly overpay to, they shouldnt count.
Link 11: Same guy as before, no proof of escape plans sold (possibly marked out to make it appear he has.)

In short, you 1 key proof seems old and spotty, and there's definitely a lot more proof at the current range.
Not to mention the fact that the last add for link 1 was 5 days ago.
There's also the fact that the seller does not have a key from the buyer in link 9, so no proof of a sale at one key there.
Showing unbought at 2.66 would help further.

Get on the upboat, son
Check the counter-proof, son.
Also, you should probably look at the proof instead of what the suggester said to make sure it's valid proof.
Son...
I am disappoint.
Offyerrocker, you seem to be off your rocker.
Can you show proof that people are willing to pay 3-3.66 ref
And alot of times people saying they've sold X amount over the range is a lie as well as claiming to have amazing c/os
