I didn't like the other suggestion too much because it only contained sellers and this site is based on the value that people are paying/receiving

*from my experience selling a "reasonable" offer gets jumped on quickly but from compiling this it appears people who pay a good price get fairly quick offers/sellers.

Key suggestion? BRING IT ON!

ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

I cant bring it on :(

    ...

    I love u too much

No Proof where 4.55-4.66 is Impossible and Unsuccessful to buy at.

there's no such thing as impossible in the mannconomy.

          ......Yes.

I tried to show that by saying that I gave up on posting trades asking 4.66, but like chief shoe said "there's no such thing as impossible in the mannconomy."

          Another key suggestion.

Guys, we have to respect this guy, he's a superhero

              Shouldn't it be 4.66 - 4.88. Also, Tf2Finance doing 4.73

This site is not a reskin of tf2finance, If I said "spreadsheet doesn't value these as 4.88 yet" I would get hate spam.

tf2 finance takes the value of the key over time according to what is being paid over time (like what spreadshit did), and it has averaged out at about 4.73 which does not imply that nobody is paying 4.88 or selling for 4.55.

If I'm correct it samples current sales and the number changes with each sample. I don't know the frequency tho. There are several possibilities, the number given is in the middle of a wide range of sales, the number given is in the middle of a highly dense range. Its also possible that it varies depending on the time of day. If I understood Base64 correctly the last one is true.

If its wide then the proofs of sales at 5 ref would be countered by transactions around 4.55. If narrow, than all sales happen at the top of whichever suggestion was last accepted. This is consistent with proofs shown in keys suggestions. I also think that the sample contains item trades not just ref trades. That could get you a lot of transactions where the item desired isn't valued at a key (a little below) and the buyer is overpaying for some reason.

Suggesting above finance is pointless. It hasnt reached 4.77

If you aren't saying "keys need to drop" or something like that, you'll most likely be disliked in the comments.

It's just poor people getting mad because they can't afford keys

NOPE! This is people getting sick of all the capitalism + vicious cycle. People sell keys for above backpack prices. Buyers can't find lower prices and take them. Gets used as proof, suggestion accepted, prices rise. Buyers also buy for high prices because they know they can sell for even more later. TF2finance is ridiculously easy to manipulate, hence it's still in beta. Any single bit of "proof" is disproven by logic.

And they are only reacting to it because it effects them, making it harder to buy keys. If you could show proof other than saying that one of the proofs (finance) is inaccurate (even though i personally believe you're wrong), then maybe the mods would not accept this.

Here we go. The proof again. Let me explain how easy it would be to falsify stuff:

Finance: it counts only key trades with buds on their accounts, on English servers, up to about a reclaimed above current price and every trade counts as one. it also eliminates any account that does more than 72 key trades a day from the counting forever. Just put a bud on your alt, go to an english sever and send it 72 keys one by one at a reclaimed above current price. You have just manipulated the price, since the volume is so ridiculously low that 72 trades matters a lot.

Outpost: many people already disagree with it as proof, because there's a lot of idiots selling for high prices, and a lot of idiots who take those high prices because they drown in them. However, it is also easy to falsify. Get some friends to post "added" or something on your highball key trade, and actually trade them the key for the price. Now people will think it was a normal trade. However, one week later, you just trade back the metal and get the key(s) back and remove the trade. Too bad, it had already been used as proof and the suggestion was accepted.

See? Proof is the most flawed thing here I've seen.

Agreed, though 90% of this site will just turn a blind eye to the fact or just make some asinine response including, but not limited to being poor. Makes me wonder who the REAL poor people are.

                              Two things:

One) Since when has logic played a role in trading?

Two) If people are sick of capitalism, why are they trading?

                                1. That's the problem. While it should have a role, it doesn't, purely because it relies too much on easily falsified proof.

                                2. That's why a large part of the community stopped. About half of all traders just quit because they were sick of it. Others (like me) decide to just stay out of the capitalist part, and do more casual friendly trading.

I know, but this is the first time I've had tf2finance sited as a source...

WE NEED MORE KEY SUGGESTIONS !!!

People have being asking for more than the set price on Outpost for ages, if the price raises here then it will rise there. People only want profit.

Thing is, prices on Outpost have already risen, yet the price here hasn't been updated for 5+ days. I've seen some people buying at 4.66 ref get nothing and sellers at 4.88 ref sellout in 2 minutes.

It's a cycle that drove upwards from the people's own fears that the prices will continue to go up. So really, it's a self-inflicted wound and everyone's too blind to notice the blood.

People on outpost are greedy bastards, don't go off that

Oh, I know that. Why else would've caused the upward trend?

3 key suggestions on the top suggestions..surprised no decision was made yet

                                  Keys are 2.66!

                                  *Wakes up*

                                  D:

your link 2, one guy is willing to sell 5 for 4.66 each, current range is fine.

hey guys, 1 trade change everything!

I remember these days; Tradeserver --> write in chat; buying keys 2.44 each. Trade me. :) btw upvote.

Selling keys for 5 ref each

I bought 5 keys at 4.66 since the last 2 days, downvote :)

I want to go back to the good old days when keys were only 2.78 and f2ps never came

what does f2ps have to do with anything ?

are you like one of those guys that cry when you see a f2p died in your game ?
