My point is, the suggestion was closed because it was Long making the suggestion. I was also stating the neither Long nor Long's alt should be allowed to vote/create suggestions permanently due to repeated offenses and warnings.

I put up a key for 4 ref about 3 weeks ago, and everyone attacked me, 5 people friended me in 5 minutes, people pay 4 ref over this price as it is cheaper, which means they have more keys to open crates, etc. Groups on Steam have been made to keep the price at 4 ref, as it will totally ruin the TF2 economy as items that were expensive, e.g. Earbuds are going down, therefore more people need to create new listings for most unusuals, de-creasing people's backpack prices. How quick the prices are going up, servers that had a law on the price of keys are still broadcasting 3 to 3.55 ref only for keys. To sum up, Keys are the main part of the TF2 economy, when they go up, prices go down, meaning the only winner is Valve as people are going to buy keys so they make easy 4.55 ref or more, therefore it would be easier for people to buy expensive items like Earbuds, Bills, etc. The Price should be 4 ref and 4 ref only.

And also about the increasing price, look at the time differences just below the downvoted suggested price, backpack.tf should make it 4 to 4.33 ref and block it for about a month, except admins, so the page doesn't get crowded with 10 million key price suggestions

People have died and others are disabled for life (e.g. One family has lost their son and their daughter has one leg. Valve could have helped like the Japenese Disaster.

i dont want to sound like an awfull person, but the japanese dissaster had a lot more injured, death and familys destroyed, also property damages, crops destroyed etc. the boston bombing was just a "minor" terrorist incident, it had a much more stronger psycological effect that actual damage on the population. still it was an awfull incident that shouldnt be forgotten, but not enough for companys to invest in help to a few.

The thing is keys is such a big business that it can't be compared to any other item in tf2. If you need a key quickly, you need to pay for it. On other items, the price would fall since no buyers appear but regarding the keys, people can't simple stop unboxing, that would be strange.

Presume 1 000 000 key trades are being made each day. In a key suggestion, very few of those are recorded, at most 100 trades are shown. Of people who can change their notes, a site that is still in beta and no one even thinks about the fact that all completed trades at the lower end must be marked as done and therefore hidden from any search so it's only the highballers left. And those dudes become the proof.

Constant key flow is needed for the game to work, simple as that. I think people shouldn't even be allowed to vote on the key price, but still the mods suppose that having 0.01 % of all key trades is enough to bring up the price.

I will believe it when I see all trades, even the closed ones, as proof. All hundreds of thousands of trades. Would like to see someone go for that.

There's a reason for that. Look how stable the key price was during the grace period when the last suggestion was accepted. 5 days, price was rock steady. For crying out loud, can we wait for the market to settle a bit before bringing on 5 more suggestions? Guarantee that the keys go up on finance now that a suggestion has been passed.

People will keep selling at higher prices until they realize that the average is still far below what they're trying to get.

you people do realize the only reason the price goes up again once you up it on here is because people are trying to make profit not because they want keys to go up right? by trying to force keys up your just going to break the economy and the keys will eventually pop sending unusuals buds and anything worth keys skyrocketing

He had been banned from key suggestions, temporarily banned from backpack.tf himself, banned from trading, but that doesn't matter. He admitted himself that it is his goal to inflate key prices until metal is trash and he seems to be doing everything to get that to happen. He's not allowed to make the suggestions, so he should not be able to influence others either. I say that if he gets this done more, he should just be banned from backpack.tf entirely, and have all of his steam communications shut down. Heck, this could even be Long218 on an alt account on a separate network! Just keep him from pulling this crap.

I'm pretty damn sure that if one is banned from making key suggestions, they should also be banned from any involvement with key suggestions.

Long has a very checkered past, both on this site and off.

On this site, he has been given tons of warnings from the admins, and his overall mannerisms with keys has been rude to say in the least. He was banned during Christmas for using his alt for posting a troll suggestion for Earbuds (0.22-0.44 reclaimed). He has the infamous notion of having been the first person whose price suggestion was issued a warning because he named himself Key Manipulator. One of the things he has said is that he wants to make refined "worthless" and associates refined as poor people currency, in his opinions.

He is permanently banned from trading, due to his admission of knowingly buying carded keys, admitting to storing them on his alt, and suggesting the process to another user.
