I'm sorry. I tried to make this suggestion a few hours ago but it didn't really work.
It's my first real price suggestion so let's have a try.
I want to raise the price of this item because you cannot get it by purchasing the game anymore. But that's just like every genuine item. My main argument is that its quality is genuine and I just don't think that it should be worth like a unique craft hat.
Even if caps aren't the most wanted hats because of their look, their price shouldn't drop. It's one of the cheapest hats in the game.
Personally I don't want to make its price higher just because I got one - I like genuine items and I don't understand why their price drops even if you cannot get more than currently exist.

most important thing in price suggesting is proof. If you can provide proof that this hat traded mainly for 2 refs- make suggestion, if you can not provide proof - not make suggestion. Easy.

The imporant thing is that things being vintage, genuine, or strange, don't automatically make an item worth a certain amount. They can help explain why an item is worth so much, but even if the quality is different, if people aren't buying and selling at a price, that's not the price.
Because you can find people selling and buying at the current range, like here http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/100635652 (several selling at 1.66, and still not sold yet), that's why it's the current range.
Feeling a price is incorrect is only the first step. Second, you have to find proof with lniks to show the price is incorrect.

We don't want "facts", we want proof of people successfully buying and selling the Genuine Company Man at 2 refined., but since this is your first price suggestion, this can be something you can learn from.
Okay. You're new, so let me help you out. The prices here are based on what people currently and successfully buy and sell for. This means that logic does not apply. If something is genuine, it does not make it rare and desirable.
First off, a good place to look is the backpack.tf classefieds.
http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/523/1/0 You can see 2 people selling under your suggested price, one of which is unsold for 6 days. This means that it is not in demand even at the current price, so if anything it should go down.
Next, we find sellers on outpost. Any seller above the current or suggested range is irrelevant, but we can still check to see if they have any offers.

As you can see, tons of people are willing to sell it for under your suggested price, and the people who do try your suggested price are failing. Even if it is genuine, it is not in demand and thus nobody pays very much for it.
