This weapon is one of the few stranges that CANNOT be opened and there are only a limited number left. here's proof: "The [Strange] Escape Plan is not obtainable from crates. I think the current price should go up a little. Here are my reasons:

Almost all of my reference links to Outpost are selling the S. Escape Plan for a key. A key is worth 4.66-4.88 refined metal. The current price of the escape plan is 2.66-3 refined metal. My conclusion is that the price should go up just a little bit.

You know what's discontinued? Strange Lollichops. Guess how much those are?

I know that, I know a lot of shit about items.. I was given three strange escape plans and two vintage ones because of the split. I said "Outpost links". Tell us why you chose those links and what they prove.

They prove that the price should go up a little bit. Almost all of my reference links to Outpost people are selling for a key. A key is worth 4.66-4.88 refined metal. The current price of the escape plan is 3.66-4 refined metal. My conclusion is that the price should go up a little bit.

they prove that you cherrie picked those ASKING prices that suit your attempt to raise your bp value or whatever your reason is. I easly found one selling below your suggested range, maybe the price needs a correction upwards, but you cant just post those that suit you, you have to analyse all posts and it would a lot if those trades allready happend, some of those links you posted are unsold, therefor no proof at all

found some proof for you, 2 sold trades is not "a lot" and your range is wrong, there are unsold escape plans @ 3 ref on op. (see links below)

take them if you want for a new suggestion but this wont pass

well I dont think I need to do any more work for your suggestion, I agree this should rise, but your range is still wrong. Do a little more research and make a better range 3-4 ref maybe

Yeah even if the Strange Escape Plan doesn't go up as high as my suggestion, (which is getting good ratings) I think it will go up to at least 3-4 refined metal from this. :)

just downvote, close it and make a new with 3-4 ref, the admins wont accept it no matter how people vote if its wrong the wrong range.

E-fucking-xactly. They've been around as long as the strange Escape Plan.

Then maybe you should suggest that strange lollichops be worth 3-4 refined metals, smart guy.

My point is that they're definitely not worth anything around there, and that stats and rarities are pretty much worthless. The supply part of supply and demand does not matter if the demand is low.

check the links, the "there are few" argument is null agreed, but he has a point when he says that the s. escape plan sell for more then 3 ref

I've noticed that too, but there will always be outliers and odd sales. I sold a couple for keys some time ago, then bought one at 2.33 more recently. It's very arbitrary and is highly dependent on a right-place-right-time sort of thing.

But in saying that, Escape Plans are a frequently used weapon and are somewhat desirable in strange quality. Whereas lollichops are terrible weapons and there is no demand for them.

The point is moot, you can see that discontinuation really only matters in cases of incredibly desirable items (S. Gunslinger/Kritz, SF 2011, unusual Soldier's Stashes, etc.), and that such an abundant item has sufficient supply to negate the demand.
