No proof at all at 6.5 buds. That's ridiculous.
going by backpack.tf unusual prices a Cauldron Bubble Brigade Helm is around 4 buds, he added around 3 buds.
Cauldron Bubbles Brigade is about 3.5 accounting for unusual overpay, and then adding the 2.86 buds he added, it comes to 6.37 buds. Not 6.5 buds.

That's called accounting for unusual overpay. It's what you're supposed to do when you price offers in unusuals.
Does that mean I would sell it for 3.5? Or anyone Else would?
I agree it's low, don't get me wrong. But I think 6.5 is very high.
^ it comes out to ~6.4 as you said, i also noticed that, but the .1 bud actually seems pretty fair, when you consider the fact that he got offered that 14 hours after posting the trade, Which is extremely fast for an unusual.

I'm not sure, the old price is a bit low, but the only proof for your suggested high end was your trade. Maybe you got lucky, or maybe the buyer wanted this hat a lot. The high price is quite a bit higher than previous sales...
I don't think I got lucky, its the price that everyone else with that hat wanted. I've seen other people turn down 5 pure. I once offered 5 pure for a scorching Trilby and got rejected. I think this is a very fair price.
It sold for C Bubbles Brigade + 2 buds + 14 keys which is 6.5 buds....
