It's been out long enough to see some pricing, generally I've seen the majority of Poker Night 2 hats and miscs go for 1 key-4 ref + gift wrap; common sense dictates the price of gift wrap should be included. Unfortunately traders are reluctant to buy until bp.tf sets a price and bp.tf is reluctant to set a price until traders buy therefore caught in a catch 22 until the chain is broken. Luckily enough the majority of traders seem to have a general consensus of 1 key + wrap. I have seen a single Bloodhound sold for 1 key + wrap on a trade server if you're willing to take my word. Otherwise, I've a few sellers at 1 key + wrap and one at 4 ref + wrap.

price is documented without wrap because the price of wrap might change.
thus your range is wrong
too ugly to be even a ref.
The wrap should not be in the suggested price
Selling doesn't equal sold, etc. Any COMPLETE trades?
Yeah, second proof down is a sold one at 1 key + wrap.
One link doesn't dictate the entire market.Or even close.
No sales. Selling =/= sold
Read "Unfortunately, traders are reluctant to buy..." also "Luckily enough.." in my notes.
If they are reluctant to buy, why is the price so high? You only have 1 actual proof. The game itself can be purchased at 2 keys. This item would cost almost the equivalent to the game itself then.
Again, buyers rely on bp.tf's pricing. People aren't even considering when this or other Poker Night 2 hats are offered at 1 rec + wrap. Use your noggin bud.
As i said before, why would an item cost the same amount as the game itself costs?
Sellers selling poker night 2 @ 2 keys:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10047257
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9951700
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9945035
I could find more, but my point here is, why would you pay equal for an item, when you could pay the same, and get a game+the chance to get all 4 items.
Also, the excuse 'people don't want to trade because backpack.tf has no prices' still doesn't make up for the fact you have minimal proof.
Also, i don't quite understand this part: People aren't even considering when this or other Poker Night 2 hats are offered at 1 rec + wrap. Could you rephrase it?
Because thats what sellers are valuing it at. If you're so biased that you're unwilling to believe it, I'd ask that you remove your vote. The quoted "People aren't even..." means that someone offered Poker Night 2 hats/miscs for .33 + wrap and people still weren't buying. Repeating myself yet again, it is a catch 22. Are you willing spend at least 1 key in wrap+ on an un-priced hat until a price is set by a reputable website?
Thanks for clearing it up
your argument is invalid, because playing the game to unlock the items takes time and afaik at least some poker skills.
Why would I buy a game for 2 keys and spend x hours playing it if I just want an item that I can have now for way less then 2 keys?
Edit: also thats not how this market works. I can sell and actually did ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8728927 ) the action bolt blitzer which is from a f2p game for something. Following your logic that should not be possible, because the hat is basicly free. Well logic and humans dont allways mix
Way less? His suggested price is 1.75-2 keys...
Anyways, achievement unlocker could also be used against your arguement.
...and mine....
Unless I've interpreted you wrong, you're in agreement with the price suggestion.
On a similar note, everyone (excluding a select few) buy the game with money (I would say at least half of TF2, this is an opinion not a fact, do not have access to cash/debit/credit) rather than keys. An intelligent 10 year old is capable of shrewd trading and could manage to gather himself 2 keys, however, he may not be able to buy the game or even have poker knowledge. Or he isn't willing to risk a VAC ban using SAM. Both time and (the majority of the time) actual money is spent acquiring these items. This being said, having a price at the game is fairly reasonable. I may have been hard to follow, in a nutshell: time or risk and actual money is spent acquiring these items. When you get an oil change you spend money on the labor, the same priniciple follows here.
I DO NOT argree with your suggested price.
#1 you include the giftwrap, we dont do that here
#2 your "proof" is none, because asking prices mean nothing
#3 of 18 pages of people trying to sell you picked 9, thats not enough
http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/103472940/18
downvote it, close it, make it proper, this will not get accepted even if all of your posted trades sell
All of your proof is pretty much useless. The only real proof you have is the 2nd link
( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10301211 )which has sold one for a key. The rest are useless as they are just b/o's and im fairly sure the price is excluding the gift wrapsomething is wrong with your link, its an old unusual trade...
also sold for 1 key would make the price 1 key, not 2 keys
OH LOL XDD and i was linking his 2nd link :3 this is from a diff suggestion lawl
All have "1 key + your wrap". It's safe to assume that the price of the wrap should also be included. Also, majority of sellers have fallen on a general consensus of 1 key + wrap and buyers are reluctant to buy until bp.tf sets a price. Therefore catch 22 until chain is broken. If you had read the comment and were even slightly willing to consider a fact your opinion might be skewed towards an upvote. But hey, I'm just trying to help out both sellers and buyers, who am I to judge?
The prices here are excluding the wrap. When looking at the spreadsheet, it tells you which items require wrap. So your suggestion is already wrong. And that's not how this site was meant to work, nor how it really works. Its the other way around. Backpack.tf is reluctant to set a price until there are succesful trades happening.
It may not be how the site was meant to work, but thats how it does work. I've had people add me for the Bloodhound and other hats (I'm selling them at 4 ref + wrap, I'd include that as proof, but that's just bad suggesting) but they're unwilling to buy until bp.tf sets a price. Upvote this and watch: Bloodhounds will be flying of the proverbial shelves.

This is of no use.
If there are people who refuse to trade because bp.tf didnt "set a price" yet, they are using the site wrong.
Would you like to be the one to add and tell every individual unwilling to trade due to bp.tf's reluctance that they are "using the site wrong.". If so, go for it. Otherwise, cater to them. I believe the site was designed by and for TF2 traders, as traders adjust the site should too. Otherwise situations such as this arise.
"but thats how it does work. " That's irrelevent, not our fault people don't know how to use a price checking site properly. Also when checking the pricelist it clearly states "Prices listed are suggested values only." I don't think we should change how this site works based on misuse. Anyways if we set values based on what we think it should be, then this is nothing different from spreadsheet

I don't think it's our problem that they don't know how to properly use it, even thought it CLEARLY says they are all suggested values. People's illiteracy shouldn't affect how this site works. Anyways. That pointless. Then this would be no better than spreadsheet. We would just be making the prices based on what we want. And i still don't get why your suggestions up, the prices here are without wrap, so you should close this.
The problem here is that you're distancing yourself from traders because you use bp.tf more than the general trader. The site is designed for them and my suggestion is based on them, not what I want. CLEARLY saying suggested values or not, the site is not used the way you have described. People use this as a pricing guide that fluctuates, therefore, it should be treated as such.
please check the price list for items like:
- summer shades
- the black rose
- The Bolt Action Blitzer
- bounty hat
- Dangeresque, Too?
etc
there is a little sign that informs you about the price beeing without the wrap
Wrap shouldn't be included in the price.
Every trade and offer I've seen has included wrap as part of the offer or as a price bump. If it's not included, where does it go? If I sell you my Bloodhound for 1 key, is the wrap just disregarded even though you've paid for it? Or do I include my wrap and then ignore the fact that I've just lost a key?
The price is WITHOUT the wrap. Just check one of these items
- summer shades
- the black rose
- The Bolt Action Blitzer
- bounty hat
- Dangeresque, Too?
It tells you that wrap is required. We just don't include the price of the wrap here, as it's value can change
Being that you're so dedicated refuting my argument and that I'm sure you as well as many others have slammed my reputation, would you create a new suggestion at .75-1 key? Or, because the key can also change in price, 4-5 refined?
Depends on what's the currency mostly being used. But i wouldn't resuggest with this proof, as there is only one succesful sales. You should just wait till there are more sales, i'd suggest you just save these links so you can check on them tmrw, or the day after to see if they have sold or not.
but this hat is most commonly sold in keys, correct? so the price should be a key, and you are arguing a lot with users that show you forum posts by the admins about how to use backpack.tf. finally, wrap should NOT be included in the price range, it is not included on any other gifted item, why should it change now?
The owner could tell me how the site is designed to be used- it still isn't used the way he expects it to be. After what I felt was sufficient proof for wrap to not be included I no longer argued the point. And yes, I did argue a lot with users because the current "system" if you will does not function well with new hats such as this.
i agree, the system does not function well for new items, but they have to have something to base it off first
some people just dont get it... even after some sleep I dont get why he still refuses to understand us -_-
You're so ignorant you won't even look to consider what I have to say. I understand you perfectly: you're so goddamn worried about the site being a passive "suggestion forum" that you can't see that the majority of TF2 traders use bp.tf as their main, go-to price site. I'm trying to help the buyers out; they want bp.tf to dictate a price so they know they're not getting ripped off. I could offer up a bloodhound for a scrap + buyer's wrap and they still wouldn't bite because they're spending more than a bit of metal. If a seller isn't doing either 4ref or a key + buyer's gift wrap he's doing offers + buyer's wrap because he has no idea what the hell to do. While you run in circles saying I need proof of sales traders run in circles trying to figure out what to price at and what to buy at because their go-to guide is failing them. I understand that you want to follow what you always have, but the last time Poker Night hats came out was 3 years ago. These aren't promo items; this is a unique situation and buyers are nervous without bp.tf's hand on their shoulder. So I ask you: are you here for TF2's traders or are you here to sit on your high horse?
who made you the buyers president?
Answer the question.
It is my believe that reporting the price of actualy trades benefits all traders wether the activly participate on this page or not.
I also believe that dictating a price is just wrong. We had that in the past, its the reason "the other" price guide is called "spreadshit" now.
It was used as a bible as well and yes I had people who refused to go even 1 weapon off of "the price" according to this guide or that guide.
The answer to them is the it is today to you:
have a nice day
I tried the Long Fall Loafers 2 days ago and it's to soon
I'm trying to push the voters into realizing that whether they like it or not, the site is used by every trader as a pricing guide. Its decisions result in trades whereas they still hold the belief that trader's decision's result in their changes. Which they do, however, traders are too nervous to trade for items that the site's voters have yet to price.
I did the same with proof, and cleverpun told me to close it
I wonder what I've done to deserve this. I try to help traders out and stumble upon a whole different set of guys unwilling to accept "outsiders" or their opinions. Anyone who has yet to post here got some help?
