Resubmitting with lower top-end
Yes I own one. And this is my first suggestion, but bear with me.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10336854
My own trade.
Offers: Planets Gentleman's Ushanka, 1.7-2.2 Buds
21 keys, The Scrap Pack #27 and VV Merryweather (~36 keys, 1.6 buds)
Again, My trade:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10430530
Blizz Storm Trophy Belt (1.6 - 1.8 Buds)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10231227
Orbiting Fire Grenadier's Softcap + #40 + 4 Keys (1.1-1.4 buds + ~10 keys= ~1.8 buds total)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9556155
Old trade, lots of offers. recent ones worth noting:
35 keys pure, ~1.6 buds
Orb Fire Swagman's 1.3-1.6
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10318766
Sold today for the Blizz Trophy belt (1.6 - 1.8 buds)
Lots of lower offers but I'm choosing to disregard them as the sellers disregarded them. Only looked at concrete offers.
Including overpay I think 1.5 is a fair low end and 1.8 a fair high end, based on the planets stahlhelm offer (which in hindsight I probably should have taken). and the softcap+#40+keys
Open to suggestion for improvements.
I'm very undecided here. This is pretty good proof but be sure to include Unusual overpay
I feel like I have, the highest offer there is the planets stahlhem, 1.7 - 2.2 buds.
My bad, planets Ushanka, not Stahlhelm.
Good range upvote
Sold for 1 bud + 1 bill: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10342275
B/O 1.8: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10430530
High end is too high.
how does that make high end too high?
Re Example 1: I don't believe it was sold for a bud and bills. Best guess I can make it that it was exchanged for A blizz billycock but I can't find the trade to see the price negotiated.
The second trade is my own and I'm deliberately pricing below other's on outpost . The 1.8 top end I've chosen is based on, as I've shown, a 1.8 item offer and a 2.2 unusual offer.
As an addendum, I never understood the proof used in the last suggestion to have the lower end at 1.3

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10124867 that the seller apparently sold for a steaming slug (1.3) but I can't find that trade and on the linked trade an hearts steel toe, 1.5-1.8 was offered. If necessary I can try to contact that seller to see what he sold for but it's difficult to imagine a higher offer being rejected.
The rest of the lower offers were just that, offers, that were summarily rejected by the seller.
The last suggestion omitted http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9497294, in which a smoking merry 1.5-1.8 + sweets was swapped for a o fire merry now on the market.
I'd like to point out the fact that in the previous suggestion the OP used my trade and stated that I sold my merry for a smoking ushanka (1,3), what he didn't mention is that I got 0.5 of sweets alongside the unusual.
Never seen any record of sweets for your sale, sorry about that.
Maybe I did post it too low, I agree with this price.
don't apologize. you worked with the info at your disposal.
Further addendum, have spoken to the buyer who bought his for the steaming slug, and then sold it for a Smoking ushanka (1.1 - 1.5 + ~.5) His trade history screenshot : http://puu.sh/2Kaki.png
B/O (not always) = Upper price range.
Best offer Planets Gentleman's Ushanka 1.7-2.2 ~1.8 buds pure . I agree UP+
