Changing up the range due to suggestion

Of those that don't sell in a set, the traders are selling well beyond the 2.75 high range, up in the 3's. Demand is not high for this vintage, and many even within the range remain unsold still.

Any comments to help would be greatly appreciated. :)

If people are rejecting over 2 key offers surely it should demonstrate the price being higher than that?

No, because the price should reflect what buyers are willing to buy at.

If the sellers are refusing to go lower then they contribute to the 'unsold' part of the market, which will then drive up supply over the demand, which then lowers the price.

Basic idea of supply and demand.

Yeah, but if someone is willing to buy an item at 1 ref it doesn't make the item worth 1 ref. Only reason that would be a valid change is if 1 ref was higher than the current price. Your suggestion is lower, and because it's not a successful trade I don't see how that can contribute to the price reduction.

I understand what you're saying, but really unless they're trades in which both parties agree on it doesn't seem to contribute to the price in this case, even if the rate of which vintages sell is pretty slow.

The bottom 2 trades look good though.

Not just 'someone', but a group in general, that's why prices don't get accepted based entirely on just one proof. I mean, to me, most of the unusual hats are worth one scrap because all they do is make characters look pretty, they don't affect the game in any manner. Does that make them worth a scrap? No, because other buyers, the traders in particular, are willing to pay far more than that for them.

The idea behind my proof is to show that no willing buyers out of a group are willing to pay 2.75 keys for a vintage Ullapool caber. Some of them are willing to pay more than 2 keys sure, but only up to 2.5.

The unusual thing seems irrelevant, although I like the fact I've just met another trader who isn't bothered about unusuals. Hi! :D

But after reading your second paragraph, yes, I see your point now. Thanks for fielding it that way. Upvoted.

        Selling at around 6$ conservatively

6/2.49 = 2.5 keys so what is wrong with the price here?

The fact is this item isn't one that moves overnight. It has always been that way, but reducing the price isn't going to make it sell any faster. Unless you sell it cheap enough for the next person to flip it.

low demand items don't need price reductions to + demand.
