with the b/o of 3.7 I'd rather say 3.5-3.7, but it's your suggestion
He only recently reduced it to 3.7 and he's trying to sell it quickly. And most halloween effects are tough to sell.
In any case, 3.7, 3.8, what's the difference.
right, it's really a small difference. Just saying what I would have done.
it sold for 3.8, which shows its possible to get more than what he's trying to get. i usually price my unusuals in mid range just because its more attractive to buyers. and its always working.
it sold for unusuals, which, when using different overpay situations might make a different range. But I'm really talking about nothing. 3.7 or 3.8 isn't much of a difference.
Blind Polar Bear swoops in to rescue us from a horrible suggestion. great work as always :P
Grazie. I figured he did all the work for us, might as well price the hat.
I probably would have suggested a different range, but, not too different to downvote this.
Vote++++ would vote again.
And what range would you have suggested?
High End: Based on the only sale. That's the highest offer this hat has received in a month+, but these effects are hard to sell as it is and it just takes the right buyer.
Low End: Other offers of 3.3 are rejected, so that shouldn't be factored into the price. 3.5 seemed a reasonable low end, esp given the b/o of 3.7.
What range would you have suggested?
I would have capped it at 3.7, but like pudding said, not that big of a deal.
Ok, i,m gonna see this hat at 4.5 buds, not just because i own it, but also because...
-Other halloween effects like this on this hat are this price
-I was the one that lowered the price cause i'm trying to sell it
Besides, i'm quick-selling it, so it does'nt really concern me what the price becomes, my price is set
But if you are having trouble selling for 3.7, it no longer becomes a quicksell price.
looking around the outpost at other low tier hats with this effect, I believe four buds to be the correct amount, if people want to sell it for more or less then fine, however
under four buds really is going cheap for this effect in general,This is just my opinion though and im not exactly a guru at the economy
Beret > Nano. And the beret has a price of 3.5-4.4. I'm pricing this at 3.5-3.8, which is generous.
You should listen to blind polar bear, he speaks the truth.
I see the beret at the same level as the nano, at any rate, i'm not changing my prices, i've already lost profit :(
So what if you see the Beret on the same level as the Nano? What matters is what it sells for. Not hat or effect tiers.
OK i get what polar is trying to say here. BUT the hat when it was first in trade was 5 buds. and it is rather nice effect to have on a hat. i actually know the person who has this hat. he tried to sell it for 4.5 buds but couldn't mos people offered him around 3-3.5 buds so he thought it would be easier to sell it for less and was very desprate to sell it.
As polar talked about the "ACTUAL SALE" it never happend. the hat has never been sold for a actual price.
people offer less because let's face who doesn't like a cheap unusual with a great effect. EVERY LOWBALLS IN A TRADE like stormy 13 hrs.
other nonabalaclava of other halloween effects are more than 4 buds easily.
all in all i would say the price of the hat should be 4-4.5 buds it would be a fair price.
I'm not sure what you mean. The hat sold for 3.8.
x3.Dota sold it to TheGodOfTactics [PPM] for blizz sack + PE nano + 7 keys + TS bills + ~3 keys in sweets
ya thats cause he was getting sick and tired of the low ballers around and thought it was a good deal. it dosen't in any way prove tat this hat is worth 3.8 buds. i had this hat at some point and i bought it for 5.2 which is the actual price of it which i bought from this guy here:http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198043939845
May have been worth 4+ at one point. But not any more. One sold at 3.8, two B/O 4 and 3.7. If one sells for >4, we can adjust this, but right now, this is its price.
nope. still i dont think i am convinsed this hat is worth this low .he sold it for this low price cause he had no choice and had to quicksell it. i still think the fair price would be 4-4.5 buds.
so you are telling me if a guy decides to sell lets say, a TC worth 30 buds for 5 buds the tc is now worth 5 buds cause thats how much he sold it for and that must be the price. even though a cheaper unusual effect TC would cost more.
I am saying that if there are 2 tc's in existence and both sellers are looking for 5 buds, then, yes, the price should be 5 buds. If there are 10 tc's and one seller is looking for 5 but everyone else is looking for 30, then the price should be 30.
so why are you suggesting the price right now any especial reason for that. you know you could have done it before like when i bought it for 5.2 buds.
I suggested this right after I saw this today - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/518a9b58ba25367350000002
and about your TC comment "if there are 10 TC one of them sells for 5 buds" nah we are only talking about two hats here. so, if you put that in perspective 5 people out of ten would be selling TC for 5buds does that still make the hat worth 5 buds.it only 50% people saying its worth 5 buds.
really so i don't think the hats not worth 3.8 buds and more as the above theory says you cant change the price in the basis of 50 %
Dude, what are you talking about? There are 2 hats in existence
- One seller has had a b/o of 4 buds for 2 months and has not had a single buyer for even close to that
- Second seller is looking for 3.7
Anyways, I'm not bothering any more. This is my last comment.
"Sick and tired of lowballers", its funny you get a lot of 'lowballs' when you overvalue your hat. The fact the your friend was not getting offers commiserate with his expectations indicates that there wasn't demand for his hat at that price point. The fact that he was desperate and willing to sell below his initial expectation, shows that he felt that 3.8 buds was worth more to him then keeping the hat. This is exactly an example of how market correction works.
