The admin suggested to me that 2-2.33 was to broad and perhaps sales weren't regular enough yet to make that range. On his suggestion, here is the conservative increase to the old price of 2-2.22.
I'm just gonna dump my old proof here:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10588329 - sold for 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10572610 - now only has two remaining at 2.22, had three at time of posting
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9655151 - 22 hour old offer of 6 for 15 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10412464 - sold one at 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10499968 - sold for 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10435836 - sold 23 at 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9761621 - sold 6 (I presume) for 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9378715 - last apparent add 1 week ago, unsure if further trades have been done

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10412464 (clearly sold one as the trade shows he is selling four and he only has 3 left)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10484025
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10057845 (old.. I know)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10572610 - has three left in bp
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10286357
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9761621 - added by one person a week ago
http://puu.sh/2NZk0/abe575e071.png - works out as 2.38 each. You won't know this and I can't prove it but I gave him one for free (2.5 each)
http://puu.sh/2NZkd/944e67a38f.png - 2.5 each
http://puu.sh/2NZli/4469689634.png - 2.5 each
http://puu.sh/2NZlr/ffd3d2c408.png - 2.5 each

http://puu.sh/2NZlH/99f02a90cc.png - 2.22
http://puu.sh/2NZlS/c85336297b.png - 2.22
All within a week at the time of creation. Those that extend further back to around the 25th april are to show they can be sold consistently at that price, even though the price range never included 2,33.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10277021 - added three days ago (2.385 per ticket)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8637439 - added three days ago, four days ago - 2.22 each
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10590052 - offered 14 ref for 6, 2.33 each, one day ago
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10513471 - added for 2.66-3, one day ago
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10540654 - offer works out at 2.33 each, three days ago
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10636239 - sold 2 for 2.22 in 12 hours
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9420200 - one ticket left, a whole bunch of keys, 21 hours old
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10623991 // http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9419747 - last two in stock suggests he's previously had more, no longer has the two tickets, suggests he sold for 1 key. Works out at 2.55 each.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10614175 // http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9418756 - sold for 2.33 each.

I'm now going to find some more concrete proof of 2.22 sales (sorry for dupes, there's a billion links to go through again so just discredit those that are duped)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10635576 - sold four at 2.22 (can't be sure, still has six in his bp)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10572610 - selling for 2.22 (the irony.... an offer at 2.33 but whatever, lets not go there)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10648675 - sold both for 2.22
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9419418 - potentially sold two for 2.33, had 8, now only has 6
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9420478 - had 30 now has one? Not sure about this one, but potentially sold for 2.22
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10652704 - sold 2 for 2.22
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10611293 - added for 2.22, another offers 2.33 for some reason
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10572610 - one left down from 8, one add for 2.28 (paying in keys)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10609002 - sold 11 at equivalent of 2.28
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10637206 - offer of 2.22
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10652475 - buying 1 ticket for something near 4 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10590257 - sold 4 at 2:1 key (2.55 each)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10562890 - added for 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10173106 - sold 9 at 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10484025 - sold 2 at 2.33
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10545983 - offered 2:1 for a key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10231522 - has four, two for 1 key, old I know
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9917229 - added within last 53 mins, 2:1 key
As I had to explain 1000 times in my old trade:
I am not raising the price.
I am extending the range.
There is a difference.
Feel free to provide further proof, counter proof.
Do not moan and accuse people as happened all over my old trade, by myself and others, lets keep this clean and professional....
Again, sorry for any duped links
Good amount of proof, up vote!
Just remember Quality > Quantity, but when both are apparent, you pretty much WIN
Cheers! The best proof I've ever seen for tour of duty tickets, UPVOTED!
And this I can finally approve of, upvote.
I have some proof that will help:
http://puu.sh/2PKyf.png - Sold 2 for 4.44.
http://puu.sh/2PKzz.png - Sold 2 for 4.33 (5 - .66 = 4.33)
Good proof, recent as well.
i get add daily for 2.22 and have sold over 50 at that price and like 170 over all. up vote!
And people say 2.11 is difficult! I'm with you, 2.22 is easy peasy.
I completely agree! I personally have been selling for 2.33, it ain't easy, but if your patient the sales come in http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9378715
nooooooooo
<3 - you know it's true though. The price is clearly not 2.11 if I have sold for 2.55 and others have sold for 2.22 and higher. I understand 2.33 was too high a jump for some people ^^
<3 price is clearly not 2.11 if I bought for 2 and others have bought for 2 and lower. And that jump was too high for most count of people ^^
I haven't bought for lower than 2 in well over a month or two. It is possible to buy at 2 and 2.11, but it's really really easy to sell for more, hence why so many people can and do. Yeaah it shouldn't be 'too high a jump' if its the realistic range, but it was so I've made a more conservative suggestion, as the admin suggested.
Woah, woah, I just reflected your argument versus you :D
P.S. it is not just possible to buy it for 2ref, it is very easy to got em for 2ref
P.P.S. it is nearly impossible to find 2ref sellers on outpost or other trading sites, but really easy on trading servers
It's easy to buy and sell at 2, 2.11 and 2.22. Maybe not so easy above 2.22, but still possible :) I agree it's easy to find two ref sellers on trading servers, but theirs also a lot of sellers selling 2:1 key and 2.22 on trade servers (perhaps they have less success, who knows, I don't monitor their trades).
I just noticed. OWNS 24 WTF
long owns over 600 keys, and his suggestions still get passed. Amount owned is irrelevant and is considered spam.
And if there are 2 and 2.22 sellers, guess, who got more success :D
I sell in bulk, though as I'm revising I haven't been trading recently. People who sell at 2 refined usually have one or two. People selling at 2.11/2.22 usually have a whole lot more and so have equal success realistically.
Usually, not always. But ok, your argument is valid.
P.S. Where are you from?
P.P.S. This site is a good way to improve my English :D
England! Without being arrogant, my English tends to be better than most of the people who use it. But I suck at most mathematical things instead!
I'm Russian, and I suck at Russian language D: but I improved my English with tf2 :D
P.S. I'm good in mathematics and all subjects, that requires logic thinking :)
Fine by me. Better than mine x 100
You just want to make more profit U_u !
I really hate people like you. I used to sell at 2.22, and then increased my price to 2.33 and can still sell at that. Go away, grow up. I don't care about raising my backpack a couple of cents. I'm not even raising the price as a whole so I don't benefit realistically, I'm just showing the true value of a tour of duty ticket, and doing what this website was designed to do, show the value of items. Next time you accuse someone, have a point and argument instead of jumping on a bandwagon that appears on any suggestion where people raise a price.
I don't understand why people keep raise those tickets prices.
Lets do some simple math here.
All price are on €.
In the shop : tickets are 0.74€ and keys are 1.99€
We know that key worth 5.11 refined.
So 1.99€->5.11 refined
0.74€-> 5.11x0.74/1.99=1.90 refined
So why the fuck would you increase it to 2.22 ??!!
He's raising it to 1.22 since there's no logic of Mann Co. prices in TF2. That's why Gift Wrap is $2, yet 1 key in the TF2 economy.
By your theory:
Key = 5.11
Ref = $0.35
5.11* $0.35 = 1.78. So why do people sell for $1.80? $1.85? $1.90?
Because they can.
If people are willing to pay 2.22 and more for a ticket the price range ought to reflect that.
I totally agreed to that price, im going to say i think the correct price at this moment its 2.11-2.33. I dont think to raise the max price 2 scrap (remember 4 craft weapons) its NOT so much. Now its too hard to find people who sold it at 2 ref, the most of all are in that range (2.11-2.33)
Shame you didn't see my old suggestion of 2-2.33 haha :)
Nop sorry, if i can i upvote that, i think its totally right
Because the price of Tickets vs the return of the botkillers already isn't low enough. It's a shame 9/10 people don't even use the tickets for MvM, but as currency.
Remember that you can get a random item with each ToD ticket, you cant do a direct relation with that.
