But if the value of the crate goes down, shouldn't the value of its content go down as well? Anyways, you have done your research and the suggested range is accurate, and you will be receiving an upvote from me.

Not necessarily, price is determined by supply and demand. In this case the demand for the crate is going down, but the demand for the items is completely independent from the crate. Meaning that in reality the price of the items could even go up, assuming that more and more people want them and are willing to pay even more for them.

Good Proof, Upvote especially considering scrap.tf is selling them at 27 keys, and has a couple in stock still
